Good morning all and happy Monday! Bran muffins are always a good idea lol. These are wonderful for abundance, stability and balance ✨ Ingredients: ✨2 c bran flakes ✨3/4 c non dairy milk ✨1/2 c apple sauce ✨2 tbsp coconut oil ✨2 tbsp molasses ✨1 tbsp ground flaxseed ✨1 1/4 c wholle wheat flour ✨1/2 c dark brown sugar ✨2 tsp baking powder ✨1 tsp baking soda ✨1/4 tsp sea salt ... 1. Preheat oven to 375 F and line or grease your muffin pan. 2. Soak bran flakes in milk in a large bowl for 30 minutes. 3. Then mix all wet ingredients into the bran flakes followed by al dry. Mix until well combined. While mixing you may state the following or something similar, 'Sacred bran, gift from the earth, bring abundance and balance to my life.' 4. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 - 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. ... Will keep about 3 - 4 days. May store in the fridge to keep an extra day or two. ... Perfect to have with breakfast or as a little mid-day snack, and are of course made with healthy whole food and magical ingredients. Despite a windstorm so blustery that we were without power for a day and internet for two; an earthquake that shook us up both literally and figuratively; flash flooding that caused delays, detours and a muddy mess; as well as being sick for four days, I can't help but notice--and appreciate--that spring has most definitely sprung on Long Island. Seemingly against all odds, there is life blossoming all around. Bursts of color and fragrance, amongst them my favorites: daffodils and cherry blossoms. Bees are buzzing. In fact, I rescued one from a friend's house yesterday after they had been trapped overnight. Poor thing was as confused and dazed by their circumstances as many of us have been. And although they panicked quite a bit when I gently excavated them from the house, once back outside, and with the aid of a little sugar water, they went on their way. It served as a great reminder for me, that although we are in the midst of challenging and frightening times, there is still beauty (love, kindness, helpfulness, compassion, etc.) to be found--both around and within us. And if we can shift our focus to noticing all that blooms in spite of the challenges faced, we may be inspired to do some blossoming of our own. We don't have to wait for the perfect situation to arise -- let's face it, there's no such thing. We'd be waiting forever. In fact, it is when things are at their worst that we need the beauty within each of us the most. Right where we are--as we are--is the perfect ground from which to bloom.
