HORSE FLIES Who knows anything about them? This is the second time I have been bitten and had a reaction. Swollen where it bit me yesterday and was itchy. This morning it itched a bit but when I got up and started walking around and my foot started swelling, so I grabbed my YL Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint EO and rubbed it all over my foot. It stopped itching for a few hours, but the swelling progressed while we were out on the Seadoo. Now it is throbbing, itchy, warm to touch and still swollen - so I’m going to apply the same 3 YL EO’s with Frankincense EO, elevate and ice it, because I have no clue why I am having this reaction or what else to do. World Asthma Day(May 7th,2024) Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) in the airways. An asthma attack occurs when the lining of the air passages has become swollen and the muscles surrounding the airways become tight. This narrowing reduces the amount of air that can pass through the airway. The biological challenge related to asthma is territorial fear or scare fright , which happens when a person is fearful regarding threat to his territory or fearful about his own safety or fearful about unforeseen danger. Along with above challenge, also there is an additional distress of “not being able to escape”, “not being able to (re)act”, feeling “rooted to the ground” (petrified), or “feeling stuck” related to muscle tissue. In the active phase of challenge, there is cell loss to widen the respiratory passageways so that more air can reach the lungs. In the healing phase, the tissue loss will be replenished with cell growth. This growth makes air passage tight, causing pain, cough and tickles in lungs. Coughing facilitates bringing up phlegm containing remnants of the repair process.
