@thedublinlibertiesdistillery Copper Alley This is a 10 year old single malt, bottled at 46% and aged in bourbon barrels before a 6 month finish in Oloroso casks - I picked it up as price is good and would really recommend as a great value and a very decent whiskey! Heard great things about the distillery tour so that’s the next stop 💯 It starts with lovely sherry notes; lots of dried fruits with malty apple and some rich creamy vanilla on the nose. Really big wood spice hit on the taste, there’s pepper and liquorice and strong oak notes. One of the best whiskies I have tried has been the English Whisky's sherry/smoked release. Here I have gone all out with the barrel strength version so very much looking forward to getting stuck in. From the first little sip, it reminds me of when folk used to say about Guinness, you need a knife and fork to drink this and the same applies for this gem. In my mind delicious every step of the way and I am sure a short reel to follow. Not much caught my eye at the duty free on the way home, it was rushed so very quick eyeballing took place, but this stood out, I've seen before and as a bit of a car fan ticked the box for me and who dosent love an Aston Martin. Bowmore Islay single malt Scotch, a 10 year old, 40% finished in Spanish oak sherry casks and hogsheads, floating about on various sites from 100 to 150 quid, picked this up for £55 for a litre bottle, which wasnt bad and is the 7th edition of this travel exclusive. The notes sound amazing, dark amber in colour, sun dried fruit, baked Seville orange and toasted maple on the nose, sultanas, sea salt and dark fruit oils on the palate, with a peat-smoked walnut and spice finish. Not sure if il open it or put it with the collectable section, but I can rarely keep from pulling the cork out of anything so we shall see ....... for now it gets parked in the garage, as the closest thing to an Aston Martin I'm likely to have in there. İlk olarak 2012 yılında çıkan bu ekspresyon soğuk filtrasyon uygulanarak ve renklendirici kullanılarak 43% alkol oranı ile şişelenmiştir. Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask, burunda kuru meyve, tatlı, vanilya, baharat, tropik meyve aromalarıyla gayet dengeli. Ayrıca damakta tropik meyve, kuru meyve ve tatlı aromalar ayırt edici bir şekilde devam ederken yağlı, krema ve rom aromaları da ekstra hissedilir bir hale geliyor. Bitişinde de kuru meyve, vanilya ve şekerli aromalar denge içerisinde. Genel olarak yumuşak, kolay içimli, tatlı, tropik meyve ve rom aromalarıyla derinlemesine incelendiğinde süpriz tatlara rastlanabilen gayet güzel bir ekspresyon. Negatif yanlarına gelirsek en başa ülkemizde muadillerine göre yüksek olan fiyatını koyabilirim.
