Heute feiert der Sauvignon Blanc seinen Ehrentag 🎉🎉 Der Sauvignon Blanc ist eine Weißweintraube und zählt zu den Bukett-Rebsorten mit besonders großer Aromen-Vielfalt. Er wurde 1710 im Südwesten Frankreichs 🇫🇷 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und ist eine der bekanntesten weißen Rebsorten weltweit. 🌍 Klassisch produziert steht Sauvignon Blanc für Zitrusnoten 🍋 und vor allem das Aroma von Stachelbeeren. Aber auch vegetative Noten wie die von frisch gemähtem Gras finden sich in dem Wein. Werden die Trauben besonders reif geerntet, entwickeln sich Anklänge von tropischen Früchten und Pfirsich. 🍑 In Deutschland 🇩🇪 ist der Sauvignon Blanc 1999 erstmals in Württemberg zum Anbau zugelassen worden, gefolgt von den rheinland-pfälzischen Weinbaugebieten im Jahr 2001. Seine Anbaufläche ist seitdem stark angewachsen ↗️ und hat sich in den letzten zehn Jahren verdreifacht. Mit nunmehr bundesweit rund 1.923 Hektar hat er sich einen festen Platz in den Angebotslisten vieler Weingüter erobert. In der Regel wird Sauvignon Blanc trocken 💧 ausgebaut und auch nur selten gelangt er ins Holzfass. Einfach, weil Sauvignon Blanc – wie kaum eine andere Rebsorte – für Frische und einen eher schlanken Körper steht.
