Mother Teresa ※少し重い内容ですので、読みたい方だけ読んでください。 ⚠️attention：It's a hard story. 私は戦後、経済発展した日本🇯🇵で生まれました。小学生の頃の授業で、日本の戦時中の生活を学びはしましたが、現実的に吸収出来ず戦争とは距離がある中で育ちました。 しかし大人になるにつれ、日本人も外国人も同じ人間だと気づき始め、戦争中の国が今もあり、大変な目にあっている人達が同じ時代を過ごしていると分かりはじめます。 "もしかしたら次の瞬間、武器で殺されるかもしれない"と怯えながら過ごす日々は、どれほどの苦しみだろうか？そのことを思うと鼓動が激しくなり、無力さを思い知らされる。住んでる国や立場が違うという理由だけで、こんなにも人生が違う。 私は安全な日本で、自分の努力とは関係なく、楽しく暮らしている。そこにとても罪悪感を感じ何の能力も無い自分にもどかしくもありました。幸せでいる自分が後ろめたかったのです。 20代半ばに、興味本位からMother Teresaや緒方貞子さんの本を読みました。 そこにこんな内容がありました。 『貴方はここに来て私と同じことをする必要はない。貴方のいる場所で、貴方の出来ることをしなさい』（Mother Teresaの言葉） その箇所を読み、ハッとしました。 「自分に出来る範囲で良いのだ、、、」 疲れた人を見つけたら電車の席を譲る。迷ってる人がいたら道案内をする。少額の募金をする。家族や友人が健康であることを喜ぶ。恋人や子供、ペットと過ごす時間を大切に思う。 私は幸せに生きていることを誇りにし、平和を享受して良いのだと、思いました。 戦争を学び理解を深めることはとても大事な作業です。過ちを繰り返さないために私達は、事実を知る義務がある。そして、苦しむ人がいて自分に出来る事があるなら、参加する。 しかし最も重要なのは、平和の有り難さを噛み締める気持ちを持つこと。平和を平和だと感じなくなる気持ちが1番恐ろしいと思います。 私はこの4月に、精神疲労との診断を受けました。一つの理由ではなく、いくつもの理由が重なった結果だと思います。 仕事を休み、実家で親戚や友人に会う機会を増やしながら疲れを癒す時間を過ごしています。 貴方と私がずっと平和でありますように。。。 #peacefultime is #happytime
