May God in His grace grant us a king who follows in King St. Louis IX’s steps and convenes a Disputation of Washington, afterwards holding a mass public burning of Talmuds in front of the Washington National Cathedral. What Louis IX pulled off with the Disputation of Paris (1240) and the events following that is a prime example of why the Jew fears Christian monarchy as opposed to having nothing to fear about republicanism/democracy (for anyone who remembers Baruch Levy’s 1879 letter to Marx). Whether it was King Louis IX or the Prince of Saxony in Luther’s day expelling the Jews from his domain, the Christian monarch has the sufficient power to make swift decisions to guard the interests of Christ’s Church and the spiritual health of the subjects of his land. And that’s bad news for the antichrist Jews because in such a godly arrangement of society, they don’t have the freedom and liberty they need to subvert and thus were almost always the losers in the years and centuries of Christendom. No post-Enlightenment republic or democracy was able to achieve any of this like Christendom did. #explore #god #jesuschrist #christianity #bible #scripture #gospelofjesuschrist #church #theology #lutheran #lutheranism #lutherantheology #calvinist #reformedtheology #revelation29 #kinglouisix #politics #christiannationalism #christendom #christianmonarchist #americafirst #nationalist #paleoconservative #reactionary #maga #conservative #gop #republican #dispensationalism #israel

With the upward trajectory of our movement that has taken place in the last few years, one can only wonder what the influence of us, the Noticing Right, will be when the 800th anniversary of these glorious events arrives in 16 to 18 years. Under Christian Nationalism, not only will the days of the Trial of the Talmud (Disputation of Paris) and the Talmuds’ public burnings be holidays, but our country will have our very own Trial of the Talmud under a faithful Christian king after the same manner of how King St. Louis IX conducted it and how St. Nicholas Donin defeated the Jews there, after which the Jews and all their destructive antichrist blasphemies, corruptions, and subversions will be expelled from America once and for all by the king’s decree. May America, by God’s grace, see the day when as many Talmuds as can be found are publicly burnt to ashes at the order of a Christian king in front of the Washington National Cathedral as it was almost 800 years ago in front of Notre Dame at King St. Louis IX’s command. The famed crusader and saint, King Louis IX of France, is said to have remarked “I think more of the place where I was baptized than of Rheims Cathedral where I was crowned. It is a greater thing to be a child of God than to be the ruler of a Kingdom. This last I shall lose at death but the other will be my passport to an everlasting glory.” On this day, almost three decades ago, I was baptized in a chapel on a military base in the great, windswept American plains. My faithful parents heeded Christ’s command and had me baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yesterday, on the Vigil of Easter, my second son was baptized, and in a few days it will be the baptismal anniversary of my firstborn son. Praise God, from whom all blessing flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen! 📸 Baptism of Clovis - Master of Saint Giles (c. 1500) (Clovis, King of the Franks, was baptized in Reims on Christmas Day c. AD 496 [some claim AD 508] by Saint Remigius, Bishop of Reims)

Saint Louis Cathedral in Carthage, Tunisia (1890). When France relinquished its colonial rule over Tunisia, it requested land on Byrsa Hill, on the ruins of ancient Carthage, for the purpose of building a cathedral to honor French King Louis IX who died of dysentery near this spot during the 8th crusade (1270 AD). Today it's closed except for the occasional concert or art exhibition, and sits basically abandoned... #saintlouiscathedral #cathédrale #cathedral #acropolium_de_carthage #acropolium #carthage #tunisiatravel #forgottenplaces #forgotten_republic #abandonedplaces #saintlouis #kinglouis #kinglouisix #historytravel #travelphotography #travelgram #traveltheworld #frenchcolony #frenchhistory #byrsa #travelthemed #churchphotography #catholiccathedral #lostintunis #architecturalphotography #cathedralphotography # #travelafrica

On this day in history 10/24/23. In 1260 The spectacular Cathedral of Chartres is dedicated in the presence of King Louis IX of France. Chartres Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Chartres (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres), is a Catholic church in Chartres, France, about 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Paris, and is the seat of the Bishop of Chartres. Mostly constructed between 1194 and 1220, it stands on the site of at least five cathedrals that have occupied the site since the Diocese of Chartres was formed as an episcopal see in the 4th century. It is one of the best-known and most influential examples of High Gothic and Classic Gothic architecture. It stands on Romanesque basements, while its north spire is more recent (1507–1513) and is built in the more ornate Flamboyant style. Since at least the 12th century the cathedral has been an important destination for travellers. It attracts large numbers of Christian pilgrims, many of whom come to venerate its famous relic, the Sancta Camisa, said to be the tunic worn by the Virgin Mary at Christ's birth, as well as large numbers of secular tourists who come to admire the cathedral's architecture and art. A venerated Black Madonna enshrined within was crowned by Pope Pius IX on 31 May 1855. Long renowned as "one of the most beautiful and historically significant cathedrals in all of Europe," it was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, which called it "the high point of French Gothic art" and a "masterpiece". St. Louis was born to King Louis VIII and Blanche of Castile at Poissy on April 25th, 1215. Louis was made King at only 11 years of age and was the father of 11 children. He led an exemplary life, bearing constantly in mind his mother's words: "I would rather see you dead at my feet than guilty of a mortal sin." His biographers have written of the long hours he spent in prayer, fasting, and penance, without the knowledge of his people. The French king was an avid lover of justice, who took great measures to ensure that the process of arbitration was carried out properly. All of 13th century Christian Europe willingly looked upon him as an international judge. He was renowned for his charity. "The peace and blessings of the realm come to us through the poor," he would say. Beggars were fed from his table; he ate their leavings, washed their feet, ministered to the wants of the lepers, and daily fed over one hundred poor. He founded many hospitals and houses: the House of the Felles-Dieu for reformed prostitutes, the Quinze-Vingt for 300 blind men (1254),  as well as hospitals at Pontoise, Vernon, Compiégne. Louis was devoted to his people, founding hospitals, visiting the sick, and like his patron Saint Francis, caring even for people with leprosy. He is one of the patrons of the Secular Franciscan Order. Louis united France—lords and townsfolk, peasants and priests and knights—by the force of his personality and holiness. For many years, the nation was at peace. Every day, Louis had 13 special guests from among the poor to eat with him, and a large number of poor were served meals near his palace. During Advent and Lent, all who presented themselves were given a meal, and Louis often served them in person. He kept lists of needy people, whom he regularly relieved in every province of his dominion. Disturbed by new Muslim advances, Louis led another crusade to North Africa in 1270. Within a month of their landing at Carthage, the army camp was decimated by disease. Louis himself died there at the age of 56. He was canonized 27 years later.

Today marks the feast of the only French King to be canonized, Saint Louis IX. Saint Louis was King of France from 1226 until his death in 1270. He was crowned at the young age of 12, following the death of his father, King Louis VIII, and thus it was his mother, Blanche of Castille, who ruled as regent for roughly the first 8 years of his reign. In 1234 he married Margaret of Provence, the eldest daughter of Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Provence. The couple got along very well with one another, and are known to have spent a lot of time together, with her deep religious convictions being of great influence on Louis. Of their 11 children, 9 survived into adulthood and many of them married into various noble families in Europe. Louis is recognized as one of the most distinguished Kings of the direct line of the house of Capet. He instigated significant reforms in the French legal system, namely creating a system where petitioners could appeal judgments directly to the King; abolishing trials by ordeal, endeavoring to terminate private wars, and incorporating the presumption of innocence into legal proceedings. For these reasons, and his known reputation as a fair and judicious ruler, he was often called upon to mediate disputes outside of his Kingdom. He was and is also regarded as an ideal Christian ruler, known to be of great faith and piety. He is the namesake of many cities, towns, churches and other important buildings, most famously the city of St. Louis, Missouri. He died in 1270 and was succeeded by his son, who became King Philip III. When the direct line of the house of Capet eventually died out, a branch of the family descended from Louis' son Robert became the ruling house of Bourbon, whose first monarch was King Henry IV. #saintlouis #stlouis #kinglouisix #louisix #King #france #french #history #otd #onthisday #royalty #medieval #middleages #royalfamily #kingdomoffrance #monarchy #monarchist #royalist #ruler #christian #catholic #christianity #truth #justice #rolemodel

August 25 is the feast of King Saint Louis IX of France—ascetic, defender of the poor, legal and administrative reformer, patron of the arts, father of eleven, supporter of the Dominican and Franciscan Orders, and Crusader—who died at Tunis on this day in 1270, aged 56. At his coronation as king of France, Louis IX bound himself by oath to behave as God’s anointed, as the father of his people and feudal lord of the King of Peace. Other kings had done the same, of course. Louis was different in that he actually interpreted his kingly duties in the light of faith. After the violence of two previous reigns, he brought peace and justice. Louis “took the cross” for a Crusade when he was 30. His army seized Damietta in Egypt but not long after, weakened by dysentery and without support, they were surrounded and captured. Louis obtained the release of the army by giving up the city of Damietta in addition to paying a ransom. He stayed in Syria four years. Louis deserves credit for extending justice in civil administration. His regulations for royal officials became the first of a series of reform laws. He replaced trial by battle with a form of examination of witnesses and encouraged the use of written records in court. Louis was also always respectful of the Papacy. “Ah, dit le Roy, notre domaine S'étend sur la rive africaine Jusqu'au désert le plus avant C'est notre fief, et prix du sang S'en est allé le Roy Louis Les plus fidèles l'ont suivi S'en sont allés bien loin, bien loin Pour conquérir le fief divin” -Le Roi Louis, Crusader song about the 8th crusade from the 13th century. On this day in 1267, King Louis IX of France (otherwise known as St. Louis) and his three sons took the cross before a French parlement in Paris. This was in response to the Mamluk Sultan Baibars offensive in Syria and by 1265 had raided Galilee, destroyed the cathedral of Nazareth, and had taken Caesarea, Arsuf, and Haifa. Unlike when Louis took the cross in 1248, the majority of the French nobles did not support this venture. But he was able to get his brother king Charles I of Sicily, as well as the king of Navarre and the Count of Luxenberg to join him. Rather than go after the Mamluks as expect, at the last moment King Louis announced that they would make for Tunisia (which may or may not have been pushed by Louis’s brother thanks to his newly gotten kingdom of Sicily). By July of 1270 they made camp over the ruins of Carthage and within a month the king would be dead from disease as well as many of the other crusaders. Charles I of Sicily then took charge of the crusade and within two months had signed the treaty of Tunis. This agreement pretty much made Tunis a vassal state of Sicily, freed Christian prisoners, and allowed the preaching of Christianity in Tunisia. Pictured is a depiction of Louis alongside a page. This portrait was made by El Greco between 1592–1595 and is now in Louvre in Paris. #crusade #history #kinglouisix #medival #8thcrusade #stlouis #portrait #louvre #king #tunis #learn #france #art #elgreco

A paleopathologist studies ancient diseases by examining mummified tissue and skeletal remains. For example, the jawbone of Louis IX, King of France from 1226-1270. Researchers led by paleopathologist Philippe Charlier were allowed to use modern techniques to investigate the jawbone’s authenticity. 💀 The king was a devout Catholic bent on driving Muslims out of the Holy Land. In 1270, he led the 8th Crusade with a plan to capture Tunis from where he would march on to Jerusalem. The assault fizzled as Louis’ army was ravaged by disease, either the plague or dysentery. The king was not spared. Louis’ body was eviscerated and the skeletal remains dispersed. The jawbone finally ended up in the Cathedral of Notre Dame. 🔔 The jawbone, which Charlier had a chance to investigate in 2020, had lesions that were found to be consistent with scurvy! This seems to be backed up by contemporary accounts that describe the king losing teeth and spitting out bits of gum. Scurvy is marked by a deficiency in vitamin C which Louis may well have suffered from due to his piety and poor diet. 🍊When he wasn’t fasting, he subsisted mostly on fish as documented by the king’s chronicler. The claim isn’t that Louis died of scurvy, just that the ailment weakened him and made his less resistant to the dysentery that probably killed him. Radiocarbon dating indicated that the jawbone was about 50 years too old to belong to the king. But Charlier rationalized this discrepancy by noting that that the results were likely skewed by Louis’ fish diet. Fish spend their lives in water from which they absorb bicarbonate ions that in turn come from deposits of coral. Such deposits were formed millennia ago, meaning that they have virtually lost all their C-14 content. On a diet of fish, some of this ancient carbon gets absorbed into the system which means that when it comes to radiocarbon dating, the bones of a fish eater will appear to be older than they really are. 🐟 The investigation of King Louis’ jawbone garnered much media attention as well as criticism. But it did introduce the public to the fascinating field of paleopathology.

On this point he asked me a question: what was my father’s name? I told him, “Simon.” He then asked me how I knew. I answered that I thought I could be certain of it and believe it, since my mother had been my witness. “Then”, he said, “you should believe no less firmly in all the articles of faith, of which the apostles are your witness, as you hear sung every Sunday in the Credo.” - from “The Life of St. Louis” by Jean de Joinville, VIII. . #saint #saints #catholic #catholicchurch #credo #thecreed #apostles #stlouis #saintlouis #saintlouisix #kinglouisix #icon #catholicart #catholicism #christian

[the next day] he called me by myself and made me sit at his feet and said, “How was it that you gave me that answer yesterday?” When I told him that I was still of the same mind, he said to me, “That is a wild and foolish way of speaking: you should know that there is no leprosy so ugly as being in mortal sin; for the soul that is in mortal sin is in the likeness of the devil…I beg you…with all my strength, to set your heart, for the love of God and for my love, to choosing rather that any evil should befall your body, either from leprosy or from any other sickness, than that mortal sin should enter your soul.” - Saint Louis to John of Joinville, related in “The Life of Saint Louis” by John of Joinville. . #saints #catholicsaints #icons #catholicart #catholicchurch #saintlouis #stlouisix #kinglouisix #king #catholic

✝️ The Sainte-Chapelle in Paris was originally consecrated as a private royal chapel in 1248 during the reign of King Louis IX of France (r. 1226-1270), who was known in life as rex christianissimus ('most Christian king') and canonized in death as St. Louis. Visually stunning, the chapel is packed with political and religious symbolism to communicate and legitimize the power of Louis IX and the Capetian Dynasty. Louis IX was born in 1214 as the second son of King Louis VIII of France (r. 1223-1226) and Blanche of Castille. After the death of his older brother, Prince Philip, in 1218, Louis IX became the heir apparent of France's throne. In 1226, King Louis VIII died unexpectedly of illness while returning from a military campaign, which made Prince Louis king of France at just 12 years of age. Louis IX was rushed to Reims Cathedral, where the kings and queens of France are crowned, for his coronation and anointment. This ritual occurred quickly to prevent other French nobles from taking advantage of the power vacuum created by the death of Louis VIII and attempting to claim the crown for themselves. 📢 Please head to worldhistory.org (link in bio) to read more about Louis IX and Capetian Politics at Paris' Sainte-Chapelle. ✍️ Article by Amanda Rundle. Apotheosis of St. Louis is the statue of King Louis IX of France, namesake of St. Louis, Missouri, located in front of the Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. During the 1904 World’s Fair, the plaster statue sculpted by Charles Henry Niehaus was erected on the concourse of the Plaza of St. Louis, near the Park’s north entrance, where the Missouri History Museum now stands. After the Fair, the Louisiana Purchase Exposition Company decided to present a bronze version of the sculpture to the City of St. Louis. The plaster was cast in bronze and unveiled at its present site on October 4, 1906. This statue served as a symbol of St. Louis until the completion of the Gateway Arch in 1965. #explorestlouis #explorestlouisparks #stlwonders #stlbucketlist #forestparkforever #droneofficial #stlmade #stl #stlouis #dronephotography #dronelife #droneshots #forestparkstl #stlouisartmuseum #stlouisstatue #apotheosisofstlouis #kinglouisix #niehaus #visitstl

Today we celebrate St Louis IX (1214 – 1270). He was regarded through the centuries as the ideal Christian ruler. St Louis was crowned King of France at the age of 12. Because of his young age, Queen Mother Blanche took over the reins, all the while instilling a sense of genuine piety, deep devotion and training him to be a great leader. She was quoted telling her son, “I love you, my dear son, as much as a mother can love her child but I would rather see you dead at my feet than you should commit a mortal sin.” This statement highlighted her grave concern for the immortal soul over the body. At the age of 20, King Louis took over from his mother, married his true love Margaret of Provence and went on to have 11 children. King Louis was renowned for his charity, washing the feet of the poor and feeding them at his table every night. He built churches, libraries, hospitals and orphanages. He treated both princes and peasants equally. His wishes were to be treated the same by the real King of Kings, to whom he pledged to give his life, his family, and his country. He often wore plain clothes, fasted and spent much time in silence and recollection, much like a monk. He led 2 failed crusades against the Muslim dynasties that ruled North Africa, Egypt and the Holy Land, dying on the second one in 1270. It was the dead of summer in northern Africa and dysentery and typhoid swept through the dirty camps. King Louis IX died while lying on a bed of ashes, saying the name of the city he never conquered: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem.” St. Louis IX, patron of the Third Order of St. Francis and the nation of France, please pray for us.🙏 #StLouis #SaintLouis #kinglouisix #catholicsaints #saintquotes #saintfeastdays #sydneycatholics

Rue d'Argout This street is in the 2nd arrondissement fairly close to Palais Royal. This area is filled with nice little restaurants with their terraces. There are also some fancy boutiques. Architecture here is quite beautiful. When I was there, there were lots of people around enjoying food and drinks. The street is named after Antoine Maurice Apollinaire d'Argout, a French statesman, minister and the governor of the Bank of France. He was a loyal supporter of the Bourbon restoration and a minister in Jacques Laffitte's government. He contracted cholera in 1832, but survived. King Louis IX is remembered as a king who was tolerant towards the different religions. At that time, some Augustine monks from Italy settled in the area of this street and founded a monastery. #RuedArgout #AntoineMauriceApollinairedArgout #Statesman #Minister #BankofFrance #Cholera #KingLouisIX #LouisIX #AugustineMonks #Monastery #TerracesofParis #Terrace #Terraces #Restaurants #Boutiques #Mail #Paris #2e #2ème #2èmeArrondissement #StreetsofParis #ParisStreets #EveryStreetinParis #EveryParisStreet #AlltheStreetsofParis #AlltheStreetsinParis #AllParisStreets #EveryParisStreetinAlphabeticalOrder #ParisStreetsinAlphabeticalOrder

Step back in time to the days of chivalrous knights, fiery dragons, King Henry III of England, the vicious Kublai Khan of the Mongol empire, and Marco Polo’s legendary travels along the Silk Road with this amazingly preserved piece of history! Handwritten and beautifully illuminated in the early-mid 13th century in the High Middle Ages some time between 1225-1250AD (CLOSE TO 1,000 YEARS AGO!) by monks/scribes in France (unfortunately dating literature aside from legal documents was not always commonplace until around the 1500’s so approximate dates are typically all we have for items such as this). Most likely produced in or near the 1st Arrondissement right in the heart of Paris -home to the modern day Louver Museum and famous early 16th century painting the Mona Lisa-. Contains verses from the first book of the Maccabees (Chapter 1 Verse 40 to Chapter 3 Verse). It features two columns of black/brown early Gothic style font with 47 lines of text separated by thin ruling as well as beautiful red/blue carefully rubricated and decorated letters, adorned by spiraling tendrils on either side. Written on very thin high quality uterine vellum (thinly split animal leather, usually from small animals). Fully transcribed in Latin and translated to English. This is a legitimate museum quality piece -originally made for royalty or very wealthy individuals in its time- and extremely valuable. 💵Contact for availability and price. #medieval #13thcentury #vellum #vulgate #france #latin #bible #KingLouisIX #catholic #history #old #incunabula #royalty

Pictured is a depiction of Louis alongside two of his sons vowing to go on crusade on a wooden mural inside of Notre-Dame. #crusade #history #kinglouisix #medival #8thcrusade #stlouis #notredame #mural #king #tunis #learn #france
