I think it is about time they would make a good, and I mean a really good Silent Hill movie. I like this 2006 movie, but if you know the video games, you know ot could have been so much better. The second half of the movie is not very well written, and the CGI sometimes tells us clearly that this movie is almost 20 years old. There are some great moments, though. Every time the air raid siren starts, you hold on to your seat. What is going to happen? Of course, something terrible, but what?And of course, most scenes with Pyramid Head and the Dark Nurses. In March 2023, they started filming a new Silent Hill movie called Return to Silent Hill. This film will ignore the 2012s Silent Hill: Revelation, as should you, but again, Christophe Gans will be directing. Silent Hill {2006} ………………………………………………………………………………… A woman searches for her missing daughter within the confines of a strange, desolate town. Though I am not a major fan of the horror genre, I absolutely loved Silent Hill. For a film made in 2006, the special effects were extremely impressive. The gloomy atmosphere embodied loneliness similar to that of a depressing Midwestern winter. Radha Mitchell’s performance as Rose Da Silva left me in a state of shock and admiration - she deserves all the honors. The quote ‘Mother is god in the eyes of a child,’ heavily relates back to Rose’s daughter, Sharon. I was relieved that each character had depth and were fully present throughout the film. From now on I will only think of Silent Hill when I hear tornado sirens! This horror thriller follows a family that moves into a house that has a dark history. After a family disappears 17 years ago, things begin to surface and strange happenings occur in the house. Reviewing - The Unspoken This was ok but uses a lot of horror clichés. The plots at times doesn't really make sense. The acting isn't great, but I thought the ending was interesting. I think it had the potential to be better and scarier, but there's a mystery involved and this helps bring some intrigue. I didn't think it was great though.
