Are you new to the concept of a sound bath? A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in soothing sound waves, with the intention of fostering relaxation, grounding, and an increased sense of well-being. Sound practitioner Liat Pisco, owner of Yoga in Del Ray, and I are offering a sound bath + yoga experience at DC’s STUNNING National Building Museum on Mother’s Day. The experience includes a 30-minute all-level yoga flow (no previous yoga experience necessary), culminating in a 30-minute multi-sensory sound bath, featuring the gong, ocean drum, chimes, crystal bowls, and crystal pyramid. During the sound bath, you’ll be resting in savasana pose (or another comfortable shape), to absorb the benefits of the experience. A beautiful day spent in #Glastonbury to mark my birthday 🙌🌼 a stomp up the Tor, followed by an ice cold dip in the White Spring before a bimble around the shops is one of my favourite things to do. I find the waters calling me each birthday like a ritual to wash off the last year and start afresh...
