Gachapon is a type of vending machine that dispenses toys and collectibles. It has become a popular pastime for collectors and enthusiasts all over the world. Gachapon was first introduced in Japan in the 1960s. It quickly became a popular form of entertainment for children and adults alike. Gachapon are coin-operated, multicolored vending machines that are loaded with capsule balls, each of which contains a different prize. All good things come to an end and this one ended yesterday. The work of iconic French–American artist Louise Bourgeois (1911–2010) came to the Art Gallery of NSW & presented the largest and most comprehensive display of the artist’s work ever seen in the Asia Pacific, Louise Bourgeois: Has the Day Invaded the Night or Has the Night Invaded the Day? Change of fountain today! The John Baptist Fountain stands in Hyde Park North, Sydney. John Baptist established the Baptist Gardens in Redfern, the first pleasure gardens which attracted visitors in the days before public parks. This fountain was originally installed there in the 1860s and was donated to the trustees of Hyde Park in 1888. Each kettle is made from a single sheet of stainless steel with handles of celery top pine. Hammered and welded into shape by hand, these objects are both beautiful and functional.
