"I came to Big Sky Fitness a year ago in a difficult time of my life. I lost a family member and my body responded to that stress causing stomach issues. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I lost 30 lbs in less than 2 months along with muscle tone and my body was weak with no stamina at all. I joined the gym right after I took my cast off as part of my recovery from a fractured wrist. Also, a year before, I had a problem with a frozen shoulder with enormous pain in acute stage. In that state, I was worried about my mental and physical health, I was filled with uncertainty. With Big Sky Fitness I raised myself like Phoenix from the ashes. I gained my stamina and started feeling stronger than ever! I keep my stomach issues under control, and, with proper exercise, my shoulder pain went away. I want to thank all instructors at Big Sky for your knowledge, dedication, positive energy, and love! I want to thank other staff that work so hard, for being available to answer all questions and for keeping the facility clean and well maintained. You are amazing! I have improved my quality of life a lot and you brought a smile to my face again! My friends notice the transformation and they like hearing my success story. I tell them, one hour a day at Big Sky Fitness and a membership is the best investment in my health that I ever had in my entire life! When I was younger, I had a plan thinking: “oh one day, I'll take care of my body better by taking some fitness classes”, but that day came when I was already sick, unfortunately. It is never too late, and it is never too early to start treating your body the way it deserves. I enjoy the fact that the facility is open 24/7, for individual exercises and for different types of group classes from 6 am to 7 pm, as it gives me the flexibility to tailor my schedule for the week ahead. So! I didn’t want my Mission tortillas to go to waste after carting them back from vacation in the States. So, I made a fresh salsa, warmed up the tortillas, fried my eggs, heated the refried beans and sprinkled cilantro over it! And, there folks you have my version of Huevos Rancheros. Delicious it was! Chris and I both enjoyed it and it was very filling. My salsa was diced up fine onions until translucent then added the diced tomatoes. I added, salt, canned green chilies and Trader Joe’s Chili Lime seasoning. Alex approached me out of the blue one day. He said he had witnessed a lot of the transformations I had done with clients, as well as with myself over the years and was looking for some guidance. He had endured a pretty traumatic injury which had made him more sedentary and left his confidence shaken. He was ready for a change. Him and I bonded over having endured a pretty similar injury and shared coping mechanisms we found personally helpful while navigating the challenges that such an injury creates. He dug deeper than he ever has and realized that foritude and perseverance that you learn in life never go away when your strength and power feels taken from you. Through creating good habits and positive lifestyle changes and practicing them with consistency, he realized he hadn't lost anything, but instead gained a perspective that gave him the strength to evolve beyond what he thought possible. Life is a constant evolutionary process to things we can control and things we can't. Thanks for allowing me to witness this kind of personal growth my man.
