As I have been sick for the past 2 months I have realized how CRUCIAL HEALTH is… ❌Without HEALTH you have NOTHING ❌Without HEALTH you are not even able to enjoy life ❌Without HEALTH you have no desire to do anything other than survive HEALTH is literally everything! I have never been more grateful for my health! It’s funny how God teaches you gratitude for things by showing you the opposite All of 2023 I did not get sick ONCE! It’s been humbling but has allowed me to experience life from the perspective of someone with poor health… ❌NO ENERGY ❌NO MOTIVATION to do anything ❌Not feeling good & trying EVERYTHING just to feel like yourself again ❌A constant Mental battle between the mind and body ❌Feeling defeated & frustrated THIS is NOT living! Eating “healthy” & working out won’t help you lose weight 😩😳 Well not entirely so anyway I did this for years and would lose some weight & gain it back What I mean by what I said is when people decide they want to lose weight (for whatever reason) The first thing they tend to do is 1) try to make healthier choices (whatever that means) and 2) start working out That will help & is essential to do - but we are missing a bigger target What ultimately helped me lose the weight and keep it off was changing HOW MUCH and HOW OFTEN I ate It helped me recalibrate what “hungry” really looks like & now I eat in response to my body’s cues vs boredom, because the clock says it’s time etc 70% of weight loss is driven from your behaviors with food 15% from your food choices 10% from exercise Aim your efforts at the bigger target and watch your results come faster and faster #fatlosstipsforwomen #fatloss #weightlosstips #weightloss #getlean #weightlosstipsforwomen #howtoloseweight #dinnerforweightloss #mealstoloseweight

Vegetable Stir-Fry with Tofu⁠ ⁠ Ingredients:⁠ ⁠ - 1 block firm tofu, cubed⁠ - 4 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas), chopped⁠ - 2 tablespoons soy sauce⁠ - 1 tablespoon sesame oil⁠ - 2 cloves garlic, minced⁠ ⁠ Instructions:⁠ ⁠ 1. Whether you want or need to lose weight or not, there is compelling evidence that increasing your fruit and vegetable intake could help you to live longer and in better health. On average, in the UK, most people do not get the recommended minimum of 5-a-day. And if you're no where near 5 at the moment, it would be ridiculous for me to suggest you start getting 10 from tomorrow. But it is honestly worth it to try and add some more into your diet. Like with everything else, increase slowly, start with a banana at breakfast, apple as a snack, crudités with lunch, or chuck some frozen veg into your dinner and increase from there. By increasing your fruit and veg intake you will also be reducing your risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, and premature death. 👶8 months post partum.⁠ 🏋️6 months since being given the green light to commence exercise.⁠ ⁠ Andy could sit here and tell you it was easy.. But the truth is it wasn't. ⁠ ⁠ She struggled with the exact same things most other mums and women struggle with...⁠ 🔸Tiredness.⁠ 🔸Time.⁠ 🔸Putting herself first when she has other little humans to consider.⁠ 🔸Doing the things she knows she needs to do, when sometimes all her brain says is "fck it".⁠ ⁠ But the best thing of all is... She didn't have to change 1 thing that she was doing before or even during her pregnancy...⁠ ⁠ She didn't amp up her exercise to lose baby weight faster⁠ ➡️ Just 2-3hrs of weight training incl. just 1 x 20min HIT session/wk.⁠ ⁠ She didn't restrict her food choices or cut calories⁠ ➡️ She ate foods to fuel her body AND still indulged in some treats.⁠ ⁠ She didn't try and be perfect!⁠ ➡️ Some weeks she missed training sessions and ate more treats than she probably should have.. 🍏 Decide in advance what you are going to do when you have an urge to go off plan. Whether it is biscuits calling you in the afternoon, some chocolate on the sofa in the evening, a glass of wine or putting your pjs on instead of going to the gym. Whatever going off plan looks like for you, in order to make this the last reset you do you will need to decide what you will do when you get that urge. 🍏 Last week I shared a number of things you can do when you get the urge to eat, use this or make your own one that is specific to you. Keep it to hand and then, when you feel that urge work your way through it. 🍏 If you don't do this and instead rely on will power to get you through I can guarantee you will be back for another Monday reset and another and another. To break this cycle you need to plan for your urges rather than cross your fingers and hope they don't turn up. They will! Binge averted! I’m sick at the moment and feel miserable and wanted some old comfort food I used to eat when I was sick. And what I wanted was coco pops (cocoa krispies) with strawberry milk so a few meals have been exactly that over the past few days. And here's the miracle. I ate it and moved on. I didn’t: ❌ Beat myself up for eating “junk food” ❌ Use it as a reason to F-it eat and spiral out of control and eat everything in the house ❌ Call myself a failure for eating off plan ❌ Feel guilty for having it or thought I “shouldn’t” have eaten it In the past, all of that would have happened and more. My diet trauma would have kicked in and I’d have binged for days so I could “start again” when I felt better. But not now. I just ate it and moved on, and I wouldn’t give it another thought if I didn’t want to tell you about it. And while it does feel like a miracle, it’s no accident. I worked on changing my relationship with food as I lost over 100lbs, and I’m just not triggered by it anymore. Most days, I barely think about food or care about it. It’s why I feel so confident I’m staying in maintenance forever because I lost weight in a way that was different from anything I’d done before. I didn’t create more food fear or diet trauma. Instead, I set about healing my destructive and dysfunctional relationship with food once and for all while I lost it. So it WOULD be the last time. To me, that’s true weight loss success. My last weight loss journey was very different from the dozens of diets I tried, and that’s why I created the 50 Over 50 Weight Loss Program—it’s the program I wish I’d had for myself but could never find. We've all had those days where we just want to eat, all day long. But yet nothing satisfies us. I've got the quadfecta of appetite stimulants - I've had 4 hours sleep, I'm a little hungover, I'm hormonal, and I'm ill. All leading me to feel sorry for myself, which can lead to the need to seek comfort in food. But I'm not going to overeat. When nothing is going to satisfy you and help you to reach the desired outcome you're seeking (satiety), it's more beneficial to acknowledge the feelings but not act on them.
