I get into a panic, get all flustered, Graham laughs, and he can see the stress upon my face when he asks the simple innocent question of.. what's your favourite....??? 🙈🙈 5th time to this summit, and I'll happily summit it another 50 times. I had a cancellation in work today, and after not sleeping last night, I knew I just needed to clear the mind. And what better way than to go to the mountain that shows me time and time again, I am courageous, I am strong, I am resilient. Setting off in a mind fog, I got a phone call, which helped lift that, another phone call to graham, 30 minutes later and I knew the rest of this hike today was going to be different. This mountain just keeps on giving 🫶. After the couple I met on the summit carried on over the ridge, I got the whole summit to myself. And today, I just sat there enjoying the beauty and sense of freedom I had here on top. I took a different route off today, taking in the top Meall Cuanail - 920m. Coming down overlooking the dam below and looking up towards Ben Cruachan at a different angle. I should hopefully sleep better tonight. When the weather feels like a present 🎁☀️ With Ascension Day we always take the free days to go cycling in Belgium (or somewhere else). Last year was the first time with a group of cycling friends. Take a camping field, put some tents on it, bring your bike and enjoy! Flèche de Wallonie was cancelled so we found another cyclo for the weekend, La Magnifique, starting in Rochefort. Since the car was stuck in a muddy field we decided to do the 125km of the event and cycle to the start from the camping, making it a total of 195km 3200 m/d+, 7 hours of fun in the sun. Somewhat new area for me to go cycling and it didn't disappoint 🤩☀️!!
