I’m posting this ☝🏼because I so very nearly went on a Vipassana retreat. Having spent so many months travelling in India, it’s hard not to have heard about 10 day silent retreats. I have spoken to a number of people who have been on this retreat. The overall impression is that they are hard work, but worth it. I eventually decided to sign up for one in the U.K. there’s always a waiting list! Having listened to the podcast, I’m so relieved that I listened to my ‘gut’ and pulled out a couple of months before I was due to go. I felt I was making excuses, don’t like sharing a room with strangers, light sleeper, can’t bear snoring etc. What’s the difference between an excuse and a reason 🤷🏻♀️, either way, thank you gut, universe for telling me not to go. The reason for this post is simple, if you’re thinking about a Vipassana retreat, please listen to this podcast from the FT. 10 days of silent meditation isn’t for everyone, I know I couldn’t sit with myself for 8/10 hours a day for 10 days. I want to reiterate that I know people who have had a good experience, but it’s definitely not for everyone, the mind is beyond complicated. Conversations with the Universe: The Universe loves to communicate with us and sometimes it is so blatant and obvious that we miss it. I'm going to share some stories about some of my experiences and maybe it will open you up to the possibility of tapping in if you so desire. A few years ago when I was still seeing people in my office, I had a couple of weeks of super intense stuff happening in session. I'm talking vivid timeline collapses, ancestral healings, past life lessons, exorcisms... it was wild. Naturally, because I am human with a human brain, I started questioning, "Is this even real???" So I decided to go straight to the source and said out loud... "Okay, Angels, these are good people, paying good money and spending their time here asking for help. Please show me that what I am doing is in fact helping them and that you are here supporting me and them along the way!" As I left my office, I noticed the auto-body shop across the street was named "Miracle", cute, I thought, not sure if I noticed that before. I then went to grab a bite at a restaurant that I used to work at and the first person I saw was a friend of mine wearing a t-shirt that said "Angel Network' across the chest. Okay....check. Then while I was on my way to yoga that evening, I was listening to some hip hop and the rapper started talking about his angels.. say what?? So I said, "Alright guys, I need one more. Y'all know I'm super literal and need to be shown a bunch of times." and sure as shit, I look over in the lane next to me and there is a van that said "Angel Hospitality" across the side!!! So, there, ask for confirmation, stay aware of your surroundings and you will receive what it is that you are asking for..
