Protein. Last post we saw functions of protein. Let's understand what are the consequences of protein deficiency. If you have gone through the functions it is fair to say that protein deficiency will have side effects on all body processes. Each organ has very specific work in our body, they know exactly what is needed for them to conduct their work and nutrient or product needed are irreplaceable. That means we can not ask them to work with some other type of nutrients and expect same result. Such is the protein. We don't have any replacement for it. Primary sign of protein deficiency will be visible on the body. As internal processes are crucial compare to muscle or skin strength, any time protein deficiency occurs, body tries to take protein from these sources. Skin starts loosing shine n glow, hair fall, weak limbs, loss of strength and stamina occurs. Cramps, aches and pains follows and joint discomfort will be there. If not treated at this stage, Internal processes such as immunity, digestion, growth and reproduction will be affected even may be seized. Internal organs start loosing their strength to carry out work. Heart, liver, pancreas, lungs and other crucial organs will be affected slowly and steadily loosing their capacity and in severe cases mortality.
