Chefâs kiss ð. This love story is delectable. I savoured this book from start to finish. Okay. Thatâs it for the (very on point and true) puns. But not for the gushing. This book. Fisher & Sageâs love story. They feel so real to me and from what Iâve seen, I think we havenât seen the last of Spunes, and knowing Iâll get to visit these characters again is a warm balm. I won this ARC through Goodreads, and what a great one to win. Though I missed getting it read ahead of last weekâs release date, I highly recommend contemporary romance readers donât sleep on it. We should also pause for a moment to gush over this gorgeous cover art. Itâs so fitting for Sage & Fisher ð âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž and I definitely will be rereading and savouring all over again in the future! #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #booksofig #bookreview #bookrecommendations #fivestarread #tarahdewitt #savoritbook #booknerd #bookworm
listened to the audio version of this book. Narrators Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber did an outstanding job on the narration. I always love a book more when there is a deep, powerful (if you know what I mean) voice for the male character. Both voices sounded age appropriate and added to my pleasure in the book. This was such a good romance. I loved both Indy and Fisher. They were funny together, romantic together and realistic as to where their relationship was going. Fisher niece added delightfully to the book and actually became the love match for a goose in the story. I will definitely look for more by this author because she gave me some delightful hours of entertainment. âšHappy Publication Day âš Savor It by Tarah DeWitt This was so refreshingly adorable! I really liked this love story between Sage, small Oregonian town girl and Fisher, big city chef who has custody of his angsty teenage niece who visits Sageâs tiny town for the Summer. This has all the makings of a Hallmark movie but I think it digs a bit deeper, skips the cheese and delivers the perfect amount of swoon! I loved how these 30-somethings acted liked 30 somethings. No miscommunication tropes here, real adult conversations - wow refreshing. I fell in love with these two, their farm animals and the quirky little town. It was a nice reprieve from a bit of a book slump and mediocre thriller reads. I even shed a tear or two at the end. This was my first Tarah Dewitt book and will not be my last! âïžâïžâïžâïž Read this if youâre into: * Small town setting * Dual POV * A bit of opposites attract * Found family and community * Friends with benefits/summer romance A huge thank you to MacMillan Audio for this advanced listeners copy in exchange for my honest review. 𪻠Savor It 𪻠By: Tarah DeWitt Genre: Contemporary Romance Published: May 21 2024 ââââ (Really Liked It) I had a lot of fun with this book. Sage and Fisherâs relationship was cute; and I liked all of the characters, animals, and settings. There were many side characters I would love to see again! It was fun watching Sage and Fisher grow to like each other, but it all felt very surface level. I could imagine their attraction to each other, and I understood that they got along, but I wanted some deeper introspection into why they loved each other. I appreciated their open communication with each other, and they handled topics of grief well. This book could have been longer. The pacing was good at the beginning, but then suddenly when the plot needed to be moved forward, we lost a lot of details that would have strengthened Sage and Fisherâs relationship. Especially since this is a slow burn, speeding up the events the further we got into the book really did a disservice to their relationship (i.e. telling instead of showing). Overall, many readers will enjoy this book, but itâs not for everybody. Thank you NetGalley, St. Martinâs Press, and Tarah DeWitt for the ARC.

Savor It by Tarah Dewittâ â âWelcome to Spunes, Oregon. (Not to be confused with Forks, Washington.)ââ â Fisher Lange has lost a lot: his sister, his joy in cooking, and his job. Oh, and a Michelin star. Heâs also gained a sullen teenage niece. Desperate for a reset, Fisher agrees to leave New York City for the summer to set up a new restaurant in Oregon as a favor to his former boss. Even though he hates small towns.â â Sage Byrd has learned to love the little things. Things like her little menagerie of a farm near the edge of her little hometown. Oh, and her collection of outlandish robes and graphic tees. At the moment her biggest aspirations involve (finally) getting dahlias to bloom in her garden and winning the townâs annual festival competition. Unfortunately, she needs a partner. Luckily, a chef has just moved in next door for the summer and (thanks to a run-in with a rabid vacuum) he owes her a favor. â â This book is interesting because while itâs a little âHallmark-yâ the characters are well aware of this and either embrace the idea or ridicule it mercilessly. Personally, I found this kind of charming. I liked that although many of the townsfolk filled stock small town roles, they all had their own flair.â â I also appreciated all the puns. I mean, thereâs a three-legged cat named Legolas. Thatâs top-tier wordplay if you ask me.â â This is a romcom, but there are definitely some serious themes and moments. Specifically, death and/or injury of family members. Also, there is one scene where a character has a minor meltdown over a goose, and not gonna lie, I teared up a little.â â The audiobook is narrated by Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber. I enjoyed the way they brought Sage and Fisherâs story to life.â â Thank you @macmillan.audio for the complimentary audiobook.â â #Bookstagram #Bookstagrammer #BookstagramIt #ReadersGonnaRead #BookNerd #Bookworm #BookWyrm #BookDragon #Audiobook #MacmillanAudio #MacAudio2024 #SavorIt #SavorItBook #TarahDewitt
âšHappy Pub Day, @authortarahdewitt!!âš I was fortunate to be able to read Savor It as an ARC and it was such a fun read! What to expect from this book: ð©· A grumpy chef who is dealing with trauma and also took in his teenage niece. ð©· A female lead who also has her own baggage but lives life the way she wants to. ð©· An adorable hobby farm ð©· A small mountain town called Spunes (not to be confused with Forks, WA). Reading this book made me homesick for a town that I have never visited and for people that I have never personally met. Sage Byrd has lived in Spunes, Oregon her entire life and has had to deal with difficulties of living in a small town, such as constantly having to be around your ex when he is newly engaged to someone else. Fisher Lange, a once world-renowned chef, escaped to Spunes to not only help develop a new restaurant, but deal with the loss of his sister and current custody of his niece. Neither Sage or Fisher couldâve expected what was to come from a chance encounter, but it turned out to be life changing for both of them. I really loved this book and the mixture of both humor and real life issues. I thought the author did a great job with the pacing, making their fake relationship not feel too rushed and very authentic. I also enjoyed the side characters as well as the incredible description of the small town. The story really made you feel like you were standing with the characters and witnessing it happen in actual time. âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž . . . #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #booksofig #booktok #bookphotography #bookaesthetic #savoritbook #tarahdewittauthor
Savor It Audiobook review ð§ð This book brought me so much joy - I have to give huge compliments to narrators Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber! Their performances were engaging, exciting, and so much fun! Unlike the title, I binged it in two days! ð¡Small town ðª¿Menagerie ð¥ŠFoodie â€ïžFamily ð¿Sage advice ð¶ïžA little spice Set in the small town of Spunes, Oregon (NOT to be confused with Forks, Washington). A wonderfully sweet small town romance between the town golden girl Sage Byrd and New York chef Fisher Lange. This book had me laughing with its silliness and then crying by the end. Every single character was so likable, Sage was a great friend, well rounded person, and sunshine personality. Fisher had that marshmallow heart everyone will be falling over. They both had history of sad events in their past that just pulled at my heartstrings. Their connection was undeniable. All the animals (their names!) and farm shenanigans were to die for, the puns, and a couple Twilight callbacks are just few of my favorite things. Overall well written and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The sweet and spicy romance to start off the summer, highly recommend to fans of Abby Jimenez or Sarah Adams! ð Book Review - Savor It by Tarah Dewitt ð âïžâïžâïžâïž Pub Date: May 21, 2024 Published: St. Martinâs Press & Macmillan Audio Goodreads Rating: 4.31 If youâre a fan of rom-coms, thereâs so much to love about Savor It. The book features many beloved tropes: grumpy sunshine, dual POV, single dad adjacent, career stagnation, small-town romance, and limited time together. While itâs not entirely fake dating, Fisher does help Sage make her ex jealous. I loved the food theme and the savory cuisine descriptions. However, I wanted more details about the dishes and the menu Fisher was creating. Just a heads up: this book is SPICY! ð¶ïž 𥵠While I donât mind some spice if it flows with the plot, there was so much that it started to detract from the storyline. If there had been a few fewer spicy chapters, I likely would have rated it 5 stars. Thank you @macmillanaudio for the ALC. I loved the audio narration! Savor It ARC Review Pub Date: May 21, 2024 What a sweet and savory book that takes place in a small town off the coast of Oregon. Sweet in the romance and farm animals and savory rich in the depth of the characters and advice and wisdom for navigating life. Fisher is a bit lost in life, now the guardian of his 15 year old niece Indy, a once Michelin star chef who lost his star, he is sent to a small town to get a change of scenery, and help with the construction plans and win over the small town of a new restaurant his former employer plans to open. Next door from the house he is renting for the summer is Sage, she has her assortment of farm animals that she acquires to keep her busy, but also wants the town to stop pitying her after getting out of a 5 year relationship. There were many great moments in this book, the most I loved was the farm animals, how Sage canât resist rescuing an animal that is in need of a home. The coastal Oregon setting was fresh and the dishes Fisher cooked up sounded delicious. As a new guardian to his niece, I thought her appearances and trials Fisher went though with her was handled great. As for the romance, there were many wonderful moments with great communication. Overall it was a beautiful soft small town romance of healing and savoring every moment. Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
INCOMING!!! Arc Review ð€ Savor It - Tarah DeWitt Iâm all about the girl next door meets the new âtemporaryâ resident to a small town. Literally my most favorite setup for a romance because of how many ways they can fall in love and change their minds about everything they were so dead set on. Sage was an insanely likable character. Sheâs the bubbly optimistic friend who does anything she can for the people she cares about. Sheâs awkward and funny and she is alllllll around a peach and a half. FisherâŠ.. OHHHH FISHER. Itâs super easy for me to fall for my book boyfriends but you have to be a serious magician for me to love him from the first second we met (me next me next me next if him and Sage donât work out!!!!) The shared trait of caring for children that they didnât have themselves was a factor that pulled so hard at my heartstrings. The responsibility and selflessness that comes along with taking care of someone elseâs children is so admirable and itâs so incredibly special to see them come together and bond over that connection. Spunes, Oregon is giving me everything I never knew I needed. Pack your bags friends!!! âšARC REVIEWâš Publication Date: May 21, 2024 SAVOR IT was a pretty sweet romance novel that was a light, easy read. It was definitely filled with all of the tropes that are popular in romance right now. While I wouldnât say this was a unique book, I was entertained, even if I found the story to be a bit of the same as some of the other romance novels Iâve recently read. I do really like this book! I thought it was perfect for those that love romance trope heavy books and enjoy a story filled with heart! The writing was well done and the story itself was entertaining and easy to digest. I think if you love that in your books, this is a perfect fit for you. But it wasnât unique or different by any means. To me, that is ok! But it wasnât anything that knocked my socks off. ARC Review: Savor It by @authortarahdewitt âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž This one comes out May 21 - and it is going to be popular, yâall. A perfectly portioned story. Part vulnerability, part witty banter, all romance. Simmered in some grief and heartbreakâand with more than a dash of spice. ðºYou are not silly. ðžYou are not âtooâ nice, or too anything for that matter. ð»The things that make you happy are important - simply because they make you happy. ð·Wear what you want. ðŒCook what you want. ðAsk for what you want. Just a little taste of whatâs in store for readers of Savor It. And the found family? DeWittâs book has some serious Stars Hollow vibes in terms of setting and the cast of characters. I think readers who enjoyed Ashley Postonâs The Seven Year Slip and Abby Jimenezâ Part of Your World will LOVE Savor It. In short, this book was fantastic and stands out among the romance ARCs Iâve read this year. Itâll have you by the heartstrings and the tastebuds. âSummer wonât last foreverâ Fisher is a hot shot chef and guardian of his niece, who has lost his spark. In hopes of getting it back, he ventures to small town Oregon to help his boss with a new opening. Here, he meets Sage, his neighbor for the summer, whose sunshine personality helps lead him back to his love of cooking. This was the quintessential romance. I enjoyed how both characters were on their own journeys of finding themselves and that they found each other as someone they could lean on. I loved all the small gestures the two did for each other, affirming their feelings and showing them to each other. I really loved how Sage helped Fisher find his place with his niece Indy, and with a similar background story, was able to help Indy as well. I thought it was an interesting plot idea to it being a summer romance, so having them know their time together had an end date, as this only added to the tension between them. I was nervous for a bit that it wouldnât have the typical romance ending, but luckily, I was wrong and got exactly what I wanted. And of course, typical of any small town, there were a ton of fun side characters (and fun animals) whom I loved as well that added in loads of charm. Recommended for anyone who loves small-town romance full of summer love. ✠ððð ðððððð ✠I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of SáŽáŽ áŽÊ âµáŽ by @authortarahdewitt , my first read from this author, and I ADORED it. It hit all the feelsâI felt hope, I felt joy, I felt the heat and the tension, I laughed and I cried. And I just couldnât get enough! The backstories of the two main characters, their families, Indy and her angst and dreams, the small town quirks, and just the pure dichotomy of the whole juxtaposition of expectation versus reality, misplaced assumptions, big city versus small town, and how being in the present while being stuck in the past can impact oneâs soul. I loved Sage and her outlook on life. She was super relatable and such a mixture of pleasing people and standing her ground with just this effervescent joy and appreciation for what makes her happy, underpinned by insecurities from her past (and those layered in by her ex). Fisher and his grumpy/cinnamon roll duality was charming and caring, while also trying to cope with his past, his present, and what he really wants for his future, all while trying his best as a new caretaker. But I think my absolute favorite parts of this book were not only the moments of tension between Sage and Fisher, but the way that they spoke about and to each other. It was just so endearingly lovely and it made me, as the reader, yearn for that kind of love, understanding, and appreciationâall while not only building their partner up just as they are, but helping them heal and giving them purpose. Plus you could just FEEL the love. The way Sage observed Fisher when he was cooking for her you could just picture it and feel the same. And when the spice came, and oh the spice was chefs kiss, it wasnât JUST the spice aspectâit was uniquely poignant in its representation of the love and luck and sense of urgency laced with pure joy and I just thought it was such a pleasure to read. Definitely highly recommend this one and will be reading more of their work! âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž #savorit #savoritbook #tarahdewitt #tarahdewittauthor #tarahdewittbooks #netgalley #arcreviewer #arcreview #bookreview #bookrecommendations #bookrecs #tbr #comingsoon #mustread #books #endlesslydreamingofbooks
Thank you to @netgalley , @authortarahdewitt & St. Martinâs Griffin for the ability to read this an eARC of #SavorIt. What a breath of fresh air! This is a story about Sage & Fisher, a couple who coincidentally meet when Fisher is tasked to take on the opening of a new restaurant in the small town of Spunes, Oregon, strike up a friendship, and happen to fall in love. Sage is a high school teacher who is passionately living her life while professional chef Fisher is facing burnout, challenges navigating custody of his niece & trying to find the spark in his life. I absolutely adored this book! It truly felt like I was experiencing the gentle sunrise of a beautiful day. This is my first Tarah DeWitt book and I just adored how Sage and Fisherâs relationship felt so organic. Their pacing & relationship progression was perfect and (Iâm making a big assumption here) she seemed to really set the small town and side characters (e.g., potential future lead characters) without overshadowing the current book. I am pretty sure I smiled throughout the entire read as there are no major conflicts and the challenges faced are done so in a mature and healthy way. This is a perfect book for someone who is looking for a rollercoaster-free romance that still gives you butterflies. I really hope this book turns into a series as Iâm now invested in the other characters/siblings! Book will be available on May 21, 2024.
Book Review Savor It By Tarah DeWitt Pub day: May 21, 2024 Thank you to @netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Sage was raised by her oldest brother after their parents died. Fisherâs sister died and he is now his nieceâs guardian. When Fisher moves into the rental next door to Sage for the summer, he is on a mission to regroup and figure out his future. He is also there to consult on the new restaurant opening in town. Meanwhile, Sageâs five-year relationship has ended, and her ex is already engaged. Fisher and Sage have an obvious attraction towards one another and the people of Spune donât know what to think of the new stranger in town. So, to ease everyoneâs nerves Sage and Fisher decide to do a little fake dating. They also agree to a little friend with benefits action. What happens when the summer fling turns into more? I love these two! They were both in difficult times in their lives and the last thing they expected was to fall for each other. They are relatable and have real issues. It made sense they didnât want to get involved just to get hurt at the end of summer. If you enjoy small town, slow burn, summer romance you will love this book.
