So I ordered a bed about a week ago. It was only a few days after Saturn's exact station; it was now preparing itself for direct movement again. But soon after I completed my order, I realized: "Hang on, I don't want this bed after all!" I wanted a different model. So I contacted the company and asked to cancel the order. Now, if you think about it, a bed is a structure for sleeping - Saturn in Pisces. As the company got back to me, they informed me that, sadly, the order was already in an "advanced stage" and they could not stop it now. I would have to turn down the delivery at my doorstep. As much as I tried to contact the delivery service, they gave me a similar response. It seemed that things had already, irrevocably, been set in motion. Fast forward to yesterday and another curious thing happened. During the course of an email exchange with another astrologer, I was suddenly made aware that there was a course in therapeutic practice for astrologers that was about to begin and that it would most likely not be offered again, ever. We start today, the astrologer said. A sense of urgency now struck me as I felt myself internally running towards a ship that was just about to leave port. I probably wouldn't make it, but I was prepared to jump into the water and swim after the vessel if necessary. This was simply an opportunity I couldn't afford to miss. These two occurrences have made me realize a couple of things about planetary direction. When planets move retrograde, we often wish that things would start moving a bit faster. We are constantly forced to reevaluate, reconsider, and redo whatever it is we are working on. Just as you thought you were getting somewhere, there is another setback. We may emerge from the retrograde a bit wiser than before, but also a bit tired. We may have to start dealing with things that have been piling up during the retrograde. There may be an equal sense of impatience and relief. None of this is probably news to most astrologers. But is direct movement always preferrable to the slowness of the retrograde? November is here with a strange feeling of a “glich” trying to “repair” or glue things from the past, that are not longer going with our new self. 🌀The Healing Journey 🌀 Just when we think we have it all coming together, that we’ve found the ‘key’ to our much needed solutions, we round the curve of the spiral and revisit old circumstances. We haven’t regressed though: We’ve merely needed to view our situation from a new perspective. We are always climbing the spiral of life! After a summer long Journey with my skin, I had it nailed. Three months of medications, the introduction of the blessed Sulfurzyme, and hours of spiritual work seemed to have my traumatic skin on the mend. Life has ways of kicking you up the arse sometimes, and Saturn shifting direct brings our lessons to the test! Did I learn anything? Healing is not a one shot deal. There’s no magic pill to take that covers all bases. Our health is a multifaceted jewel that requires layers and layers. Emotional upheaval is a huge wrecking ball for our health- it’s never just a physical ailment. By readdressing my tools for giving myself some much needed love, I believe this episode won’t be as long lived and dramatic as it was before. This doesn’t mean I won’t see the dermatologist, and I’m enormously grateful to have had a luxe facial to nourish my epidermal surface and my very being. However, I’m keenly aware that this will be determined by how much I can love and take care of myself. By how I can shift my vibration from fear of going through it again and insanity from the itchiness that’s had me up in the night, to gratitude for my awareness and the ways I can help myself. This is a lesson in embodiment of my Queen energy. I’m taking charge for me, and I won’t have time for things that aren’t supportive. Including my own vibration!
