Holy Week–Lenten reflection by Therese Mills @mglsisters ❤️ One of the Twelve, the man called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you prepared to give me if I hand him over to you?” MT 26:14–15 🌿 What on earth was Judas thinking? 😱 We might wonder what led him to make such a decision. Was it solely for the money, or were there other factors at play? Regardless, it is clear that Judas made a conscious choice to betray Jesus, fully aware of the consequences. Today’s Gospel challenges us to reflect on our own choices and actions. How often do we allow greed, selfishness, or other worldly desires to cloud our decisions and lead us astray? It is a reminder that even those closest to Jesus can fall into temptation, mess it up, and make mistakes. In our lives, we are faced with choices every day. We may not be faced with the same magnitude of betrayal as Judas, but at times, we might find ourselves in situations where we need to choose between right and wrong—between faithfulness and betrayal. There's a big difference between choices we make because they FEEL good, and choices we make that ARE good for us. I'm convinced that this is one of life's most important lessons. If we really and truly get that our choices are everything, and understand how to tell the difference between what FEELS good and what IS good, we can have a fulfilling life, instead of a frustrating one. I talk with my clients continually about the choices we make, and whether or not those choices are contributing to our tension, pain, and well-being. These choices can be as simple as daily postural habits, or as complex as career, relationships, and life path. What we allow into our bodies and minds, and what we allow ourselves to participate in, is completely on us. It's important to stop and take inventory on what is working FOR our well-being and what is working AGAINST it. Above is a picture of me with one of my closest friends. She is constantly supportive and loving, always cheering for me from the sidelines. She's willing to challenge me when I'm making unhealthy choices. Both signs of a true friend. She's also one of the most upbeat and inspiring people I know. Over twenty years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only did she undergo major surgeries and receive treatment, she also completely changed her eating habits and lifestyle, AND left her toxic marriage of almost 30 years. She's still cancer free. THIS is a sign of a friend who is good for me, because she not only treats me well, she also inspires me with her own choices. Here's to making healthy choices, continually. ❤️

You definitely don't want to know what goes on in my head 😂 or the choices that I made in the past! In my opinion, Not Only does He let Us be Us/Ourselves with Evil/sin and all of our downfalls. But, it's also our Responsibility to Not Let Evil Shit Happen To Others! It’s never too late to heal your mind, your body, spirit and soul. Hello IG. Hope everyone is ok. It’s gone soooo windy here in Cheshire East - it’s blowing a real gale out there. Thank goodness it’s so cosy in our home. As I got ready for bed tonight in my beautiful cosy dressing room, I realised just how lucky we are to have a nice warm home and bed to get into. My heart really goes out to those who are homeless. So today we had our beautiful granddaughter Emmie Grace whilst her mummy and daddy went wedding food tasting and what a little dream she was. The wedding date is coming thick and fast now and I’m excited to see it all come together. I still have to look for a mother of the bride outfit so that’s my plan over the next few weeks. In other news we have booked a holiday for the end of the year - one off our bucket list that we have only dreamed about and I’m still pinching myself thinking about it. I am having a hard time. I am listening and learning a lot rn. And I have an inquisitive mind because I am the equivalent to a 5th grader learning about all this history about Palestine/ Isreal issue. And all of Middle east issues. I am not trying to study it in depth, but have exposed myself to both neutral resources and oppressed peoples history and these are the thoughts and questions I come up with. They are just questions not any judgements or pointing fingers. I think of myself and what my daily life is like. I have privilege and luxuries compared to so many and there’s others with more privilege and luxuries than I have. So with all that this vicious cycle and questioning about billions of$$$. Why are we at this point? Yes it could be spent better, but why is it spent this way? And what it seems to be is OIL! So thats the question: Could we not be dependent on it? Shadow no 7, 1993. Shadow is a series of 75 images created using a human figure placed in a variety of precarious scenarios as meditations on the fragility of the human body, what happens to us and the choices we make as humans. I made 16x20 prints and nine of them were exhibited beautifully in a grid @kopeikingallery 1999. It is pleasing to look back at an old body of work and find the images still odd and curious the way they were when they were first created. Editing new work now - stay tuned.
