Card of The Weekend - Two of Swords ⚔️ We enter the weekend with indecisive, non-committal energy. When we sit on the fence in this way, we are generally afraid of the consequences that committing, one way or the other, will bring about. Perhaps we’re afraid of making the ‘wrong’ choice, or maybe we know what decision needs to be made, but fear the fallout that comes afterwards, but these factors are an inherent part of decision making. Sitting in this fear, being ruled by it, we are harming ourselves, punishing ourselves, in so many ways. Our lives are full of choices. If we don’t make them, well, we’re not really going to go anywhere, are we? We’re stuck. To make progress, we must make decisions, even the tough ones. And oftentimes, the consequences and outcomes that we dream up in our minds are far worse than any actual, plausible reality. The more we sit ruminating on a choice, the more weird and wonderful possibilities our brain can concoct, and the more anxious we can become about making a decision, making it all even harder to contend with. Ultimately, if we are stuck in indecision, we are doing ourselves a disservice. You are strong and you are capable, enough so that you can handle the challenges life throws your way. In that sense, not making the choice, is not having trust in yourself. Perhaps that’s the greatest gift you can give yourself this weekend… Self-trust. 🤍✨ N x P.S.
