✨🦋✨ Wow, I was creating some art two days ago just for fun, and now seeing friends & families’ photos emerge from last nights viewing of The Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis around the US is so similar to what was coming through me this week. I feel this is a major time of transformation, death & rebirth, and shift in consciousness We are having increased solar and geomagnetic activity, some of the strongest in our decade. We can literally see it and feel it (to all my fellow sensitive beings out there)… no wonder this week has felt big, and intense 🤪 Doing more research about it all, These solar flares are ‘large explosions from the surface of the sun that emit intense bursts of electromagnetic radiation’ -space.com This occurs during periods of strong geomagnetic activity when charged particles from the sun interact with Earth’s magnetic field, causing the colorful light displays. Solar Flares and Emotions ‘Some people have reported feeling an intense emotional purging during times of increased solar flare activity. Because these flares can activate old trauma and negative dysfunctional ways of being. For many, there is an arising of trauma that was thought to be healed. But, the next level is actually arising for healing and clearing. The solar flares activates us to clear out emotional ways of being and dense energy which no longer serves. It does this because these flares are literally injecting more light (as electromagnetic energy and solar plasma) into our system. It can be perceived that this light is going into the darkness of our being and clearing out our shadow. It’s important to take the time to deeply listen to your body, heart, and spirit. ♥️Death and Re-birth ♥️ I am in a deep death and re-birth process at the moment, and phewf it’s coming with all the challenges as well as excitement for what’s ahead. Some big changes happening for me and our family over the next few weeks and maybe even months. I Took myself to the beach this afternoon after visiting my favourite coffee van, to find some peace…it was a challenge, my mind still kept drifting back to wanting to control and organise everything that’s coming up. In these moments I remind myself, this is Ok. All is Ok. Guiding myself into not ‘beating myself up’ for not creating all the space and peace I usually create at the beach. Finding my way through this death and re-birth process, through the mess, overwhelm, anxiety… it may not look perfect, but I know all is ‘perfect’ as I go through a lot of deep healing at this time too. If you are also experiencing anxiety and overwhelm at the moment, just know, it’s ok. When we have experiences as a child (in particular 0-7) and the experience is not fully expressed (fear, anger, sadness, joy, grief...) the memory of this experience is stored in our bodymind. The mind is a meaning making mechanism and thought memory bank. The nervous system will hold the memory/imprint in the body. An example, when as a baby you are left to go to sleep on your own and you are crying for mummy (sleep training), and mummy does not come, the decision, is no ones coming, I am alone, and decides ...I am unlovable, I am not heard, the world is unsafe .... the emotion of fear, frustration, sadness is not able to fully expressed, it is then held as a memory in the body. The body and the mind become entangled in this experience. All experiences will be held this way. This is the storyfield. Fast forward to being an adult (really a child in an adults body, with incomplete bodymind entanglements from the past). The minds main purpose is survival. It will continually be scanning for threat and anything that is remotely similar to a past experience it will bring up the thoughts and the entangled body experience. From this bodymind memory (the past) we react to the minds decisions, survival mechanisms to keep you safe and the suppressed pain. The mind is trying to protect us from that original pain. In doing so the reaction becomes where we create our present experience from, which creates suffering, struggle and repeating patterns. This is the blindspots we are all living from, our identity. This is how we are being thought from the past. This is limitation, in resistance to the flow of life. When in surrender of the magnificence in the unknown, this is possibility. Ask yourself who is the one thinking? The Human condition!

I’ve had a sensation in my chest that’s been there since January. I’ve known what it was since it appeared, my body telling me that another wave of grief and sadness needs to be released. Like a wounded animal I’ve spent time trying to find the right space and time to allow this wave of emotion to take hold of me and I’ll admit that I’ve feared letting it happen. Not out of what release of emotion that it will bring, I know this part - I have the first place medal for tears and letting emotion out just ask my family - but of what happens after, I’m afraid I’ll lose her. I’m afraid that by grieving and letting go, she’ll go too - What I have left of her. Isn’t it such strange human behaviour to cling onto what we know isn’t good for us because of a sense of security and safety. We adapt to pain and grief, let it reside within us - carry it around the heavy weight that it is - pretending we’re fine, pretending this is normal, keeping a lid on what our intuitive instinct is telling us, ignoring the part of us that knows us best. How is this safer and more secure? Because it’s known? What’s known brings comfort, unknown brings excitement wrapped up as fear. I’m afraid of losing my Mum who’s already gone and I’m afraid of losing the last of the crumbs of the version of myself that is still taking up residence within my sacred vessel but she knows as well as I do that it’s time to move on. My Mum has been more present in my life since she left her body. All I have is more to gain yet this physical grieving process is so necessary. It’s how we honour and allow our human experience to do what it’s meant to do. Thanatology Notes 💀🙏🏽🖤 My grandmother passed on the Solar Eclipse last year, April 2023. We are currently preparing for her “waksi,” meaning, “to take off,” the celebration of life at the one-year death anniversary of a loved one. The term comes from the custom, still practiced by some Filipinos, of wearing only black until this joyful end to mourning, when those closest to the deceased again don colorful attire and are encouraged to resume whatever activities they may have paused in grief. Filipino death rituals vary greatly region to region, but for many, including us Ilocanos, we honor the dead with customs and ceremonies influenced by a mixture of Catholic and indigenous, ancestral, pagan rites. Immediately following one’s passing, loved ones come together for 9 nights of prayer, song, and banquet. The rosary prayer, an offering of 50 roses to the Great Mother, is traditional. “Atang,” or offerings to the dead, typically consisting of a plate of food prepared before anyone else at the feast eats, is placed on an altar to the dead (often with flowers and pictures of the deceased) before being returned the the land and its creatures prior to the next night of gathering. A Catholic funeral mass followed by a burial is also common. The deceased is often interred with meaningful items. My grandmother is buried with a rosary made with the colors of her children’s and grandchildren’s birthstones, and a Philippine 1 peso note in her hand, since she was always conscious of where her money was! The 40th day after transition is also considered important, marking a “soft end” to mourning, when what we might call the “new normal” in Western psychology begins and regular activities resume. I’m looking forward to @anti_robotclub on April 13th. It’s going to be a fun time with lots of local art vendors, food, music, art installations, etc. Entry for this event @waterfireartscenter is sliding scale $0-20. So, please come through! I’m making up some of these angry uterus keychains for it. Even though I no longer have a uterus, I can still relate to those who have angry ones. It sucks and this keychain can bring a little softness to help ease the struggle. It’s been a challenging week. The death of someone of my chosen family and also intense tension with someone I love over an issue that is important to both of us, but we disagree on. I’m feeling grief heavily. I started working on a very large (and somewhat boring) piece. It’s extremely repetitive for nearly the entire project. Work like this is great for processing emotions, thoughts and energy. When I feel I’ve processed enough for the time, I move onto a “distraction” project. Something that keeps me focused and engaged. I’m excited to share that I’ve started doing some crochet pattern testing! Thanks to @kawaiicuddlebug for being the first to give me the opportunity. The piggy puff pattern is so adorable and very easy to follow. I really enjoyed being a part of the tester group chat! Please check it out!! I also tested a “monster ball” for @cozy_critter_crochet . It’s a really unique pattern and, even though I’m not a Pokémon fan, I’m going to make one that will fit inside this…it’s so cool. I’ll share the pattern, when it’s released! These pattern testings were exactly what I needed this week for a focused and engaged distraction from the grief. On Sunday my chosen family will celebrate Carmela’s life and Ostara. Death and rebirth are energetic themes that I deeply resonate with. Energies that have always felt natural and made sense to me. I’m grateful I could be there for Carmela’s last moments and that she trusted me to let go. Her energy is being reborn into something incredible.
