It has been speculated that the Etruscans were extremely wealthy folk who cared deeply for their people and environment [79]. There have been many accounts stating that Etruscans called themselves Rasenna, Rasna, or RaĆna. đșTHE LIVER OF PIACENZA âFound in the province of Piacenza, Italy, the Liver of Piacenza is a life-sized bronze model of the liver of a sheep [21]. It depicted The Etruscan sky, which was divided up into 16 regions or houses. It looks oddly like a zodiacal wheel split up into 16 houses instead of 12. These divisions were attributed to the specific deities of the Etruscan Pantheon. In essence, the inscriptions detailed each region was associated with a specific deities (Ais/Aiser) and the region or house they reigned in certain cardinal points and seasons [16]. To my fellow people of colour, I'd like to reintroduce myself. I'm a Gujarati woman who was born in England. Even though my ancestors are from Bharat, my parents were born in East Africa and up to 3 generations before them lived there too. I'm currently travelling through Africa with two people of Afro-Caribbean heritage, as Shiloh Ancestral Family. I grew up with an Indian mother, had an English stepmother and I now have a mother guide of Afro-Caribbean descent. My experiences with all three women have helped form the foundation of my medicine. I'm on a journey to discover the true history behind the migration of my ancestors, to heal ancestral maladies within myself and to decolonize and divest from yt supremacy. This journey is creating an emotional map within me based on the historical events and geographical locations that changed the course of our people's lives. As Shiloh Ancestral Family, we're learning about our collective, ancestral and individual histories and healing the wounds of fragmentation caused by years of colonial abuse, which include slavery, indentured servitude, cultural, spiritual, financial, resource and land theft amongst many others. We're breaking away from dysfunctional relationship dynamics and creating new relationships based on truth, integrity and healing as part of the New Earth, and we're offering our work to the collective. Within me, I'm healing the deliberate separation that yt supremacy caused between black and brown people through various colonial propaganda & tactics. I'm healing the deep wounding within me caused by a yt supremacist and narcissistic stepmother. This is how I'm developing my medicine. For it to be authentic, it has to be created through personal experience. 'Dawa' means medicine in Swahili, and is the term my Indian family grew up using. Plant a tree or garden Not only does it help the environment but it could also help ground you. Nothing like digging down into the earth to help uplift your energy. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle I know we have all heard it but something as simple as bringing a reusable bag to go grocery shopping is helping the environment. Go on a nature walk Take a look at the grandeur of Mother Earth and see how she is waking up. Look at the buds on the trees and plants popping up. Enjoy how the landscape is changing (don't forget your allergy meds!) Time spent in nature is a such an underrated way to uplift your energy and get your head out of a funk. Forage While you're out there maybe forage for some new plants for you magic. Purple Nettle is abundant right now. Dandelion, Chickweed and Clover are all useful for magic. Don't forget the wild violets too. But please do your research and know what you are picking. When I was planning this months Ancestral Connection call, I originally planned to teach about Ceremonial Etiquette.
