This art was inspired by The Veils song “Do Your Bones Glow At Night?” and I wanted to celebrate the anniversary of our partnership with @travismwh with this artwork and make such a gift from myself to my dear person. A pair of skeletons has become an important symbol for us since Travis found a tarot card with this image one day. Travis is a safe place for me, my constancy and comfort. The scariest things with him don’t seem so difficult, and good things become magical. Travis always holds my hand in my darkest places, and gives me warmth and light, expanding our world, our map. Even the theme of death doesn’t seem so final to me anymore, when I met Travis and I see how our love continues to live in these glowing bones and in our souls traveling through different universes. Recently, I was brought through the veil between the worlds, which was translucent and threadbare. The potential for the veil to tatter soon is eminently possible. The energies of the Spirit World and this world have never been so interchangeable. This is the Butterfly Effect in full force. Under this, there was a flurry of activity. The Grandmothers gathered in large numbers beneath the veil, like numerous koi beneath the surface of a pond. Grandmothers from all cultures joined hands in the Spirit World, working to shift the matriarchal energies, banding together for one united purpose. Many of us are being called to navigate through uncharted territory to fully embody ourselves in new ways. Patriarchal patterning that has been hardwired, and we have been steeped in a patriarchal tea for millennia. Such wiring can be so subtle that it lies beneath the surface of our awareness, but still affects us all deeply, regardless of gender identity. The long-term affects of our past lives, our own wounding, as well as the Ancestors' call for change are echoing all off of each other at once, like grieving whale songs in a deep, realmless sea. Though the burden of life at this time can be heavy, this shift we're living in will benefit all of life on this planet. Just because it takes time and patience, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep going.
