A day of quality time. I indulged in a longer sleep, took my time getting ready, savored a cup of coffee, and spent my early afternoon engaging in conversations and discussing future plans with Matt and Markus. It was wonderful to reunite after a week, listen to music together, and map out the weeks ahead. Later, Matt and I headed into town for some food. Upon returning home, Philipp paid us a visit and shared updates on his recent music projects.

Last year, I got the chance to visit @thetottieobject in her home studio in Malaysia. Hailing from the indie music scene, she started creating kinetic mobiles 2 years ago after watching a documentary about them from the 1920s. . Inspired primarily by mid-century modern aesthetics and space-related themes, she has created elegant geometric mobiles that mimic a playful vortex of molecules or showcase harmony, balance and gravity. . As I observed her working, I felt worlds away from the city and its busyness. Like her floating mobiles, for a moment I felt suspended in time.
