I have been a bit amiss here lately, MIA, ghost-like. The world is a mess and in chaos with the COVID-19, and everyday it's new outbreaks, new rules. Always changing. Sure, I could go on and on about the virus and my opinions. But nah, no sense. Weird times we are in. And time keeps flying; moments with loved ones either missed or more prevalent. New normals, new perspectives, and new paths. Change...all around us. In 2 weeks, I take a HUGE leap of "here's hoping" and move far from all I have known. I stop being safe, predictable, comfortable me. And while I am very nervous and scared, I am doing my best to embrace that fear and stand tall. Part of me feels proud of myself for taking this step. I am realizing; it is during the times I am far outside my element that I experience myself the most. I don't think change is ever easy or comfortable, but necessary. We can't stay still and stagnant forever; we have to experience and step out and be brave. Because sometimes its exactly what we need, and it can bring great things. And if it doesn't, there is always something to be learned. Look for that light at the end of the tunnel. Go on that adventure, let yourself dream and take risks. I'm still here, still hopeful. So im tired of everyone looking at the situation with my son as something to talk about. YEP. HE MET HIS DAD. I don't need to tag him in photos or post photos of him for him to be around. He is around and he is helping me. He's actually helping me more than anyone right now. What happened during my pregnancy is my business. And I've chosen to forgive him. Kayjay deserves to have a Dad and honestly when i see Kayjay with his dad. It makes my heart melt. I won't lie. I've felt was since i got pregnant. I wanted my 2nd baby to be a sons which I'm so happy I got that. But yes, because i hadn't been close with anyone in over 2 years I had my son with a dude who has never had feelings for me and never will so my dream of some day you know, maybe creating a family is totally dead. But do i regret it? No. My son is totally amazing and he wouldn't be KAYJAY if he had a different dad. On the bright side im at least getting a friendship. Dating is just a small sacrafice I have to make to be totally there for both of my kids. Plus I would never want him to be confused and be around random guys. That's not me. So, we all know that stupid videos circulate the internet--and it really costs too much emotional energy to be outraged by every loose-minded thing that comes along. That being said, one particularly loose-minded trend that has circulated the e-webz is the "don't judge" videos. Basically, the scene opens on an unfortunate individual with blackened teeth or horrible acne. Sometimes, insanely pigmented freckles and a unibrow that would make Frida Khalo proud are also involved. This same she or he grimaces at the camera, dabs on some face cream, covers the lense, then, voila!!!! A smoking hot individual appears. Because, you know, don't judge that nerdy girl with glasses--she may just be a babe in hiding (once the proper amount of makeup is applied) ((and you get her contacts)). I mean, don't get me wrong. The idea of not judging based on appearances is a noble one--but not when the punchline is "Psych! They are actually hot... So hah. Sucks to be you." See, we shouldn't judge based on appearances because most of the time, appearances are just the fun icing on a really cool personality cake. Probably funfetti. And I love putting my best face forward. Hence the blackened face wipe! Turns out it wasn't meant to be, but man I miss having someone by my side every step of the way as I journey into a new life. I've tried many times to leave the past behind me but its so hard when you lose almost everyone you love. I only have half a family to help me out. No longer have that special someone by my side to make me feel loved. I habe cherished every moment I got to spend with the people who are no longer in my life.
