Gisteren had ik proteïne pancakes gemaakt (AH receptje) en er waren nog 4 gebleven, dus daarnet als een late breakfast gegeten. Mijn dochter vond ze super lekker, dus we hebben eigenlijk mijn ontbijt gedeeld! 🤣 Zoveel eiwitten waren ook niet, dus kan geen kwaad, dacht ik.. daarnaast een proteïne koffie (hazelnut Macchiato) gedronken en water.. Cardio ongeveer 25min.. maar beter dan niets.. straks moet ik nog oefenen voor de dansles van morgen.. heb al weken niets meer gedaan, dus dat gaar moeilijk worden, maar ja, mijn schuld Dikken bult! 🤪 Ik word 40 in een aantal maanden, Jezus!! For the first time in a long time, I looked in the mirror today and thought to myself, “you’re really becoming that next level version of yourself that you always knew was in there, but didn’t know how to bring her out”. For so many years I just wanted to feel like myself again. Life things like kids, jobs, a divorce, a move, it’ll leave you in an altered state where you just don’t feel like you. You know she’s in there but you know that it’ll be a process to get her back. For so long that’s all I wanted - to feel like “myself” again. But then as I’ve made my healing and my growth the number one priority, I’ve started to realize that it’s actually not about getting back to myself. Because that version is not the version that is going to take me where I’m going to go. That version got me what I had before. Which taught me some lessons (mostly tough) but earned it’s place in the chapter of my book, not the leading role. I think it’s important that we take the time to honor past selves, show them some love, thank them for getting us this far, and then go full speed ahead into the next realm. I have to say, I really like it here. 🤍 If you’re going through anything in life that has left you hurt, broken, maybe a little lost... You know, the food doesn’t taste the same, the tools (meditation, journaling, etc) don’t feel like they’re working, and you just don’t know what to do. Keep going. Surrender it all to God and keep going. Keep showing up for yourself. I promise, you will bloom, in due time. But just like the flowers, you’re going to need the right soil, a little water, some sunlight, a whole lot of love, and time. Trust me, you’ll get there. Your “bloom” is coming. Gorgeous class this evening @allthingsmustpasswbc ✨ thanks to all who came 🙏💖 I got the first day of my cycle today🩸felt low energy and like I just wanted to hybernate and sleep, but I couldn't because of work and being on Mama duty - my little boy came and lay on me on the couch at about 4.30pm and we both had a little snuggled afternoon nap and I felt so grateful for it and for him afterwards and it totally rejuvenated me for class this eve ✨ I also followed my instinct on how I was feeling and led a super gentle class - even more than normal! - focusing on really softening and releasing tension and the feeling of tightness and holding on while we were in our postures.
