If you’ve never tried dumplings totally made by hand from scratch, this is highly recommended. INGREDIENTS: 3 sumo citurs or other tangerine 1 teaspoon agar agar powder 1/2 cup cold water 1 cup evaporated oat milk TO MAKE: - In a sauce pan, combine the agar agar with cold water, transfer onto the stove; - Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while continue stirring, agar agar has to be brought to boil in water for it to completely dissolve and set properly later! Which  #recipe would you try?👇 By @Theconsciousplantkitchen 1️⃣ Healthy Banana Brownies Ingredients 3 large Ripe Banana 4 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder ½ cup Peanut Butter (Unsalted) Optional - for a boost of sweeteness ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips Instructions Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 6-inch brownie pan with parchment paper and grease it with cooking oil. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana into a smooth puree, Stir in peanut butter and cocoa powder with a silicone spatula until it looks like a brownie batter. It's fine if you see bits and pieces of bananas as long as the batter is not dry. If too dry, it means you used smaller bananas or your nut butter is dry and not oily. Add more mashed banana to fix the batter or a splash of almond milk. Stir in chocolate chips until if used. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if you like. Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes in the oven at 350°F (180°C) until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with only a little crumb on it. Cool down on a cooling rack for 20 minutes before serving.

What recipe do you like the most? by @Plantyou 1️⃣ Chana Masala Inspired Chickpea Coconut Curry Ingredients 1 tbsp olive oil 1 yellow onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp curry powder 1 tsp cumin ½ tsp turmeric ½ tsp paprika ¾ tsp salt 1 can crushed tomatoes, 15 oz 1 can coconut milk, 13.5 oz 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1 tbsp almond butter, optional 1 handful spinach Instructions In a pan over medium heat, add the onion and olive oil. Stir until fragrant, approximately 3 minutes. Next, add the garlic, curry powder, cumin, turmeric, paprika and salt. Stir until fragrant, approximately 5 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes, coconut milk, chickpeas and almond butter. Bring to a simmer, then lower the heat, and cook on low for 6 to 8 minutes, until everything is combined and warm. Stir in the spinach until it is wilted. Serve with fresh cilantro and naan bread as desired. 2️⃣ Golden Glow Soup paired with my favorite crackers . 🙏Lends 4 to 6 servings
From start to finish 20 minutes . 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable broth 1 yellow onion, diced 2 carrots, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced 1 rib celery, diced 1 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp black pepper 7 cups vegetable broth 1 can white beans, drained and rinsed 2 lemons, squeezed 1 handful fresh kale 1/4 cup tahini 1 tsp lemon zest 1 cup orzo 1/4 cup fresh dill 1 tsp turmeric . In a pot over medium heat, add the onion, carrot, celery and garlic. Sauté until softened, approximately 5 minutes. . Add the vegetable broth, drained and rinsed can of white beans, lemon juice and lemon zest to the pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes covered. . Stir in the kale, fresh dill and orzo and cook for another 10 minutes until the orzo is cooked through, keeping the lid off and stirring intermittently to prevent the orzo from sticking. Stir in the tahini and turmeric until combined and heated through. Enjoy!

Menu is clearly labelled (🥦 = plant-based) and dishes with egg don’t have the sign. • steamed vegetable dumplings 🥟 • appetisers: eggplant salad, vegetarian chicken, ma lan tou salad, pickled radish 🍆 • sautéed young bamboo shoots 🎋 • broad beans and snow cabbage with yuba sheets 🫛 • shredded potato and green peppers 🥔 • stir-fried chili dried tofu slices 🌶️ I really liked their eggplant salad and ma lan tou. My grandpa’s favourite was vegetable dumplings (he had to reorder to takeaway 😂). Some dishes are spicy but they will be labelled if you can’t tolerate heat! Just whipped up these incredible Spicy Steamed Dumplings, bursting with flavors of tofu and bok choy! 🔥🥟 Spicy Steamed Dumplings Ingredients: 2 lbs of bok choy, washed and julienned 1 package of wonton/dumpling wrapper 1 box of firm tofu, drained & mashed ¼ cup of sautéed mushrooms 1 tablespoon black bean sauce 1 tablespoon corn starch Salt to taste Oil Spicy Sauce: 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons chili oil with chili crumbs 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 teaspoon Chinese black vinegar 1 teaspoon grated ginger 1 teaspoon sugar Directions: Place julienned bok choy in a large bowl with 2 tsp salt and gently massage. Set aside for 15-20 mins. In a pan with 1 tsp oil, sauté mushrooms until lightly brown, add black bean sauce and combine. Set aside. Pan fry mashed tofu for 2 mins, season with salt, and combine with mushrooms. Squeeze excess liquid from bok choy using a cheesecloth, add to tofu mixture with cornstarch, mix well. Place a dollop of mixture on a wrapper, moisten edge with water, and pleat to seal. Steam dumplings for 15 mins on high heat. Serve warm with spicy sauce. We continue to be delighted by the wide variety of delicious dishes served up by @vanhanhrestaurantvegan. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.     We are also impressed that this restaurant is run by Vietnamese Buddhist nuns who help support local temples here as well as orphans in Vietnam. Their goal is to open a meditation center and we wish them success in this.     @vanhanhrestaurantvegan is open every day for pickup, delivery, and dine-in: 10 AM – 8 PM.     This is what we savored at home:    Dumplings (Bánh Ít Trần) – fluffy, savory, and slightly sweet mashed mung beans, crispy onions, pickled daikon and carrots, and a sweet and sour chili sauce. Traditionally filled with a mixture of mashed mung beans and ground pork, this delicious vegan version had all the protein and flavor you could ask for.     Buddha Bowl (Bún Bì) – soft and tender rice noodles, savory, crispy, meaty, and rich roasted bean curd, purple and green cabbage, julienned carrots and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, chopped peanuts, and sweet and sour chili sauce. The contrasts of flavor and texture were very satisfying.     Steamed Bun (Bánh Bao) – filled with tofu, mixed veggies including carrots, peas, cabbage, taro, corn, beans, and 🐷-free ham. Protein-Packed Avocado Toast By @vancouverwithlove Ingredients - serves 1 •2 slices bread (gluten-free if needed) •½ large avocado •1 tsp apple cider vinegar •⅓ cup chickpeas (rinsed & drained) •Sea salt & black pepper •microgreens or radish slices to garnish ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instructions - Toast bread. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - While toasting, combine avocado flesh and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Oodles of noodles and shmumplings of dumplings from @bing.mi PDX. Next time we will have to be more purposeful about ordering veggies because we were rationing out the three bok choy pieces but this was all so good. Wood ear mushroom and impossible dumlkings, vegan wontons, you po mian (handmade chili oil vegan rice noodles), cong you mian (vegan scallion oil thin noodles), and wonton noodle soup in a vegan mushroom broth. Really amazing food and really amazing that they had so many vegan choices. Next time, we will get the pickled veg and maybe a jianbing. First dinner back and we have tofu mushroom wonton soup with Moringa leaves! Moringa is highly nutritious and boosts the immune system (which I need rn 😰) Moringa leaves are hard to find (I had them gifted to me 🥰) but this can definitely be made without the Moringa and still be just as good! Wontons: (all chopped up super fine) 2 cloves garlic 1 thumb ginger 200g firm tofu 200g cup mushroom 1 spring onion Drizzle of sesame oil and soy sauce to taste Wonton wrappers Broth: (no exact measurements and I made a lot to have for leftovers. This is what it is made up of) -about 3tbsp sesame oil - a lot but I like the taste -garlic -ginger (have a decent amount for the kick) -water -vege stock (powder) -chicken stock cubes (most are vegan) -cabbage (normal or wombok) -spring onion -moringa leaves Just sauté your garlic and ginger in sesame oil in a large saucepan until fragrant, add water, soup stocks and any extra sesame oil to taste before adding the cabbage, spring onions and only add the moringa leaves at the very end so you don’t overcook and lose its nutritional value! I also added the dumplings in the last 2mins before serving. Thank you so much @joyrsumarago65 for giving us some of your Moringa! 🌱🌱Creamy Chickpea Bowl🌱🌱 by @veganfoodcrazy Are you looking for a perfectly delicious meal , that’s also easy to make ? Then this is the meal for you I hade some of my husband’s homemade marinara sauce available for this recipe, but you can use a jarred sauce instead To round out the meal I added some rice (cooked ahead of time) with lime juice, cilantro and salt and I added some pan fried sweet and regular plantains and avocado INGREDIENTS: 1 tbsp oil 1 tbsp red pepper flakes 2 cloves garlic sliced thinly 2 boxes chickpeas, drained & rinsed 1 cup marinara sauce 8 oz vegan Greek yogurt 1 tbsp dried oregano 1 tbsp sumac Salt & pepper to taste Start by heating your oil over medium heat, add the garlic and red pepper and sauté for about a minute. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. The longer you simmer the more the it will dry out . CREAMY COCONUT, CHICKPEA & POTATO CURRY 💛 By @nourishingalex Serves 4 - 1 medium onion, diced - 3 tsp garlic granules - 1 & 1/2 tsp ground ginger - 2 tsp ground cumin - 2 tsp ground coriander - 1 tsp dried chilli flakes - 1 tsp of turmeric - 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp nutmeg - 650g baby potatoes, halved - 1 large carrot, sliced - 500ml veggie stock - 1 can of chickpeas, drained & rinsed - 1/2 can full fat coconut milk - salt & pepper to taste Method 1. Cook onion in a large saucepan or pot using a little olive oil (or water for oil free) on a medium heat setting for 8 mins until soft and translucent. 2. Add in all the spices including the garlic granules and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. 3. Add in the potatoes & carrot & chickpeas, then pour in the veg stock. 4. Bring it all to boil, give it a good stir, cover then leave to simmer on a lower heat setting for 15-20 mins until potatoes are soft enough to poke a fork through without breaking them apart. 5. When the potatoes are soft, pour in the coconut milk, cook for a further 15 mins with the lid off until the liquid has reduced a little. 6. Taste and season with your desired amount of salt and pepper. 7. Sweet Chili Tofu Stir-Fry By @plantbased.traveler For 2 servings You need: 1/2 block of extra firm or super firm tofu (7 oz/200 g) * 1 tbsp avocado or other cooking oil Salt and white pepper to taste 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce Plus: Stir-fried vegetables of choice (I used zucchini, bell pepper, baby bok choy, mushrooms, scallions, garlic) Brown rice for serving Method: Cut tofu into triangles (or desired shape), and pat them dry with a clean kitchen or paper towel. Sprinkle them with a bit of salt and white pepper (optional). Heat up oil and fry tofu for about 4-5 minutes, carefully flip over and fry for another 3-4 minutes until browned and lightly crispy. Add sweet chili sauce and stir until evenly coated and caramelized. Serve with stir-fried vegetables, and brown rice. Sweet Chili Sauce 1/2 cup rice vinegar 1/2 cup coconut sugar 1/2 cup water 1 tbsp sambal oelek 1/2 tbsp chili flakes (use 1 tsp for less heat) 1 tbsp coconut aminos 2 garlic cloves, grated 1/2 tbsp ginger, grated 1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tbsp of water Pinch of salt to taste Add all ingredients except cornstarch to a small sauce pan, and bring to a boil. When the sugar is dissolved, stir in cornstarch slurry and keep stirring until sauce thickens. Simmer for a few more minutes. Spicy Korean Inspired Veggie Stir Fry By @realizing_fitness Ingredients 4 tbsp (divided into 2) neutral oil of choice⁣ ⁣4 cloves garlic, minced ⁣ ⁣1 tbsp ginger, minced⁣ ⁣1 onion, sliced⁣ ⁣2 carrots, julienned⁣ ⁣1 red bell pepper, sliced⁣ ⁣a few handfuls of snap peas ⁣ ⁣I block extra firm tofu, pressed ⁣ ⁣2 + 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari), divided⁣ ⁣4 tbsp gochujang (Korean fermented chili paste)⁣ ⁣1 tsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder) (optional)⁣ ⁣2 tbsp maple syrup ⁣ ⁣1 tbsp toasted sesame oil⁣ ⁣1/2 tsp black pepper ⁣ ⁣2 spring onions⁣ ⁣2 tsp toasted sesame seeds⁣ ⁣4 servings brown rice ⁣ Method In a bowl, combine 2 tbsp soy sauce, gochujang, gochugaru, maple syrup, toasted sesame oil and black pepper. Set aside. ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Grate or crumble tofu by hand. ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣In a frying pan over medium-high, heat oil. Add tofu and cook until golden and crispy on the all sides. Något som är riktigt spännande, är det där med att få ta del utav och lära sig av andras kokkunskaper. Som i helgen exempelvis, då min svåger Carl välkomnade hem mig för att visa hur en gör riktigt grymma dumplings. The owners of @bistroaracosia recently opened a sister restaurant much closer to me in Georgetown!!! @afghaniadc is just as vegan-friendly as Bistro Aracosia!!! And just as delicious! So many vegan options and just one stomach 😂 They start you off with bread and a few dips for the table. The yogurt is the only dip not already vegan, but they have vegan yogurt!!! The dips range from mild to spicy. Having the vegan yogurt is very much appreciated to combat the spicier dips. The green dip was my favorite. I'm so impressed that vegan dumplings are offered. We were warned it takes longer for them to cook because the vegan dumpling casing is made differently than the regular. Worth the slightly longer wait! Each dumpling I tried was better than previous. Granted, the pumpkin dumpling was the last one I tried, and pumpkin is already a favorite food of mine 😋🎃 My main, the kandahari vegan flight, provides 7 different food items! My favorites were the kadoo (butternut squash - obviously), nakhoud (chickpeas), and the seasoned rice with carrots and raisins, but everything was very tasty. I wanted to eat it all. Thank you, Afghania, for going above and beyond to include vegans!!! It's appreciated more than you know 🙏 I can't wait to go back! Toffee Apple Porridge By @helens_vegan_kitchen Serves 2 �For the porridge: 100g porridge oats 2 tbsp ground flax seeds 700ml non dairy milk For the apple topping: 2 large apples, cored, peeled and sliced 2 tsp coconut oil 2 tbsp maple syrup Sprinkle of oatmeal spice Method 1️⃣ Put all the porridge ingredients in a pan and simmer for 5-6 minutes until cooked (add a bit more milk if it thickens too much) 2️⃣ For the apple topping, heat up the coconut oil in a frying pan, gently fry the apple for a couple of minutes until slightly soft and charred. 🍅 Vegan Oven-roasted Stuffed Tomatoes By @plantifulalice 🌱 You need : 2 large tomatoes 200 g fresh mushrooms 1 plant-based steak 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 50 g shredded vegan cheese 1 tbsp oregano Olive oil Basmati rice 🌱 Thinly mince onion and garlic, cut the mushrooms and steak in tiny pieces. In a pan, add a little oil and cook onion and garlic 2 min. Add the mushrooms, cook until golden. Add the steak, vegan cheese, oregano, salt, pepper. Stir, cook until the cheese slightly starts melting. Turn off the heat. Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and remove the flesh. Cut it in chunks and add it to the pan. Mix well and stuff the tomatoes, place their top on them and bake at 180°C for 30 min, and then at 190°C for 18 more min. ✨Fenugreek Dumplings: Undhiyu Part 1✨ Try these air fryer methi muthiya! These crispy dumplings are enjoyed in the Indian state of Gujarat as a snack or as part of a vegetable dish called undhiyu. They are a great source of protein and fiber as they are made with chickpea flour and fenugreek leaves. Fenugreek is thought to have arrived in India from ancient Egypt thousands of years ago and is now an integral part of cuisine and traditional Indian medicine (Ayurveda). Ingredients: 1 cup fenugreek leaves, chopped (frozen or fresh) 3/4 cup chickpea flour 2 tbsp semolina  1 tbsp whole wheat flour  1 tbsp oil  1 tsp sesame seeds 1 tsp carom seeds  1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp dry mango powder  1/2 tsp Eno fruit salt 1/4 tsp salt or to taste 1/2 cup water, as needed for kneading  Instructions:  Step 1- In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, semolina, wheat flour, oil, sesame seeds, carom seeds, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, eno, and salt. Step 2- Add fenugreek leaves and slowly knead into a very soft dough, adding water as needed. Step 3- Divide the dough into 7-8 portions. Apply oil to hands liberally and reapply as needed. Roll each portion into a circular shape using your hands. Step 4- Place muthiya on parchment paper and air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway Step 5- Remove from the air fryer once golden brown and let cool slightly. Curried butternut soup by @sculptedkitchen 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp cumin seeds 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 small onion, diced 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp tumeric powder 2 cups butternut squash 1/2 tsp ginger paste 1 can white kidney beans 1 tbsp tomato paste 1/2 tsp salt, to taste 4 cups of vegetable stock 2 tbsp corn starch mixed with veg stock from soup 1 tbsp coconut cream Handful sage, fried with olive oil and salt Method 1. Add oil, cumin seeds, garlic and ginger to a medium pot. Simmer for 5 minutes 2. Add butternut squash and pan fry for 10 minutes mixing and cooking until squash is tender. 3. Add the rest of the ingredients except corn starch 4. Take a cupful of veg stock from the pan and add your corn starch and mix 5. Add to pot and bring to boil. Simmer for 10 mins Taste for salt and lemon. 6. ZUCCHINI MUSHROOM ORZO SALAD! By @thedishonhealthy 🥗 (serves 3-4) Suggested Greek-Style Vinaigrette 3/4 cup of good-quality olive oil 1/4 cup white wine vinegar 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 1 Tsp of dried oregano 1/2 Tsp garlic salt 1/2 Tsp minced organic garlic 1 Tbsp of dried parsley 1/2 Tsp ground pepper 2 Tsp of honey or agave 🍯 Garlicky Mushroom Topping Ingredients ~2.5 cups any mushrooms 1 Tbsp of olive oil sea salt and black pepper, to taste 2 Tsp of minced garlic 1 Tbsp finely chopped parsley (optional) ~2 Tbsp of low sodium tamari sauce or soy! 1-2 Tbsp of red wine Instructions The Orzo salad has 5 cups of cold, but cooked orzo, 1.5 cups of finely chopped bell peppers in every color, 1.5 cups of halved raw zucchini rounds sliced in quarters, 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley and 2/3 cup of creamy feta chunks or crumbles, I always buy goat feta! 🌱 if you wanted to switch it up- grilled halloumi or fresh buratta would take this salad over the top! Mushroom Topping Instructions In a skillet on medium-high heat, warm up your olive oil. Add the garlic and stir often as it burns quickly. Throw the mushrooms in, stir and season with sea salt, tamari and pepper. Allow them to sautée and soften ~4-5 mins. Finally, add your wine and scrape the bits and pieces off the pan, stir for an additional ~2 mins). Toss the sautéed mushrooms into the orzo salad; as opposed to just adding them on top. Spiced Mushroom Ramen By @livinlaveganlife Ingredients 6 cups of water ⁣ 1 onion 2 cups of mixed dried mushrooms ⁣ 2 bay leaves ⁣ 2 star anis seeds ⁣ 4 cloves ⁣ 2 garlic cloves, smashed ⁣ 2 dehydrated chili peppers ⁣ 3 inch piece of fresh ginger ⁣ 2 tbs of soy sauce ⁣ Noodles of choice ⁣ ⁣ Method 1. In a pot over medium heat, bring your water to a boil. ⁣ 2. Optional: Meanwhile, in a cheese cloth, seal your spices,, peppers and garlic together. ⁣ 3. Add your mixed dried mushrooms, sealed bag with spices, onion, ginger and soy sauce. ⁣ 4. Cook for about 45 minutes. ⁣ 5. If the broth evaporates below 4 cups of water, add water as needed. ⁣ 6. Add your cooked noodles of choice ⁣ 7. Garnish with your favorites! We used tofu and roasted corn! ⁣ 8. Easy Vegan Sushi bowls By @helens_vegan_kitchen Ingredients: Organic marinated tofu pieces Spinach leaves (or any green leaves) 300g cooked sushi rice Selection of vegetables/fruits (avocado, pepper, mango etc) 100g edamame beans, cooked Tinned sweetcorn Wakame (most sushi counters will sell pots of it) Sesame seeds Nori sheets Ingredients for the peanut sauce: 4 tbsp peanut butter 2 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce) 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar 1.5 tbsp lime juice 1 tsp agave syrup Water to thin 1️⃣ To make the tofu, literally fry for 5 mins in a little bit of oil 2️⃣ Boil the rice as per packet instructions and leave to cool slightly whilst you chop all your vegetables 3️⃣ Mix all the sauce ingredients together and add a little water to thin if needed 4️⃣ Add everything to your bowls, top with sesame seeds, drizzle with the peanut sauce and serve with nori sheets #veganmeat #plantbasedrecipe #plantbasedmeals #vegancook #veganicecream #plantbasedcheese #vegandumplings #vegetablenoodles #veganmealideas #veganbowl #veganindianfood #veganinspiration #veganfoodspot #vegansofny #veganburgers #veganvideo
