Dieses Wort gibt es wirklich! Und die Aussprache dieses Wortungetüms ist mindestens genauso interessant wie der Grund, warum es zu diesem Phänomen kommt. Denn im Kern sind unsere Handlungen –und dazu zähle ich auch die Art, wie wir mit uns selbst umgehen– eigentlich immer wieder auf dieselben ur-menschlichen Bedürfnisse ausgerichtet: darauf, 🙏 … unser #Selbstwertgefühl aufrechtzuerhalten und 🙏 … von anderen angenommen zu werden. In diesem Zuge ist heftige #Selbstkritik wie z.B. 👎🏻 „Ich bin eine schlechte Projektleiterin!“ 👎🏻 „Ich kriege nichts gebacken!“ oder 👎🏻 „Ich habe Null Talent!“ eigentlich nur eine Schutzstrategie: Bevor jemand anderer uns niedermacht und wir soziale Ächtung zu befürchten haben, machen wir uns lieber selbst nieder – in der Hoffnung, dass unsere Unterwerfung die anderen, bzw. die kritische Instanz in uns besänftigen möge. So hoffen wir ( #unbewusst, versteht sich!), uns vielleicht doch noch einen Platz in der Gruppe zu sichern. Wenn auch weit hinten, aber immerhin. Gemessen an unserem grundlegenden Überlebensinstinkt ist das sich selbst gewohnheitsmäßig geringschätzig Behandeln also durchaus ein sinnvolles Verhalten (genauso wie das gegenteilige Muster sich selbst zu erhöhen: gleiches Motiv, andere Strategie.) Und: Das alles sind nur innere Muster, die wir uns im Laufe des Lebens zugelegt haben, um halbwegs gut durchzukommen. Muster, die uns eventuell Kraft kosten. This one deserves a place on the gram. I may have only shared a virtual square with @oprah but I was one of approximately 250 people to join her virtual audience and I was SO honoured to have a seat at the table for this conversation. It was surreal to share the screen with this woman, even if only for 30 seconds. It was amazing to see so many familiar faces and friends in the gallery 💙 I will say I feel seen, I feel heard and I don't feel so alone for maybe the first time in my life. I feel empowered to keep going on my wellness journey. Reignited to become the healthiest version of myself for no one else but ME! And for the first time in a really long time, I feel like I've got this. I realize that perhaps I am where I am today, at my heaviest, starting over yet again for a purpose. I hit rock bottom in 2023 and told myself things would be different in 2024. I promised myself I would do the work and face hard things in 2024. The things I ignored in the past. And I have been following through. And I see that I am #theshift . I am living it. I am breathing it. I am surrounding myself with others who are doing the same. Maybe I am here to help evoke change with something that has haunted me and held me back for 40 years! Maybe I am here to simply help others get beyond the shame. It's taken me a while but at 40 the biggest gift I received was self love. A lense I have never viewed myself through my entire life. And let me say yes I do morning mantras now, yes I give myself positive self talk every day in the mirror. And I've also never felt more sure and confident about myself and my capabilities ever before. Here's a snippet of what I speak to myself everyday: I am always turning setbacks into opportunities. I am getting healthier every day. I take small steps for big results. I appreciate my body and all it is capable of. I matter and what I have to offer this world matters. I deserve support and kindness and attract only good people into my life. I engage in work that impacts this world positively. I trust that I am on the right path. I knew a kid when I was in 5th grade. He had health issues and as a result, was very thin and somewhat frail. He would miss school more often than most. He was teased because of his peculiar appearance. He was teased to the point of breaking down and crying. During a day he was absent, our teacher had a good chat with us students. We were given more details of his health and were encouraged to change our perception of him and to, not only stop teasing him, but to uphold him, edify him, and be the best of friends with him. Like stark night and day, he was treated much better when he arrived at school the next day. He became popular! Everyone wanted to be on his team! Everyone wanted to help him with carrying his supplies! Play with him at recess! The more we involved him, the more his confidence grew and the more he loved and felt loved. This shift was genuine! I look up to my 4th grade teacher's example. She was a true leader. You are a leader, in your home, amongst your friends, in your communities, and even in this world. You have power, with just words mind you, to make a great and lasting shift. What needs this shift in your life? Evaluate it and be the change. Thank you for reading this true story! I’m not exaggerating when I tell you the emails coming in after last weeks workshop are giving me all the feels. So many emails just like this one. The time has come for me to share the game changing news! For those of you who don’t keep up with my stories, I have recently made an extremely important and critical SHIFT in my business! As some of you may know, my aunt and uncle @melissathompson.19 @scottthompson.19 are the founders of @bellamebeautyofficial. I was so excited to officially join them a year ago! And by doing so, I got an extremely unique opportunity - to be the head of a direct to corporate team! As amazing as that was, being put in that position came with a lot of additional work that I was taking on. At the time, I had the bandwidth for it. But as things continue to progress in my music career, I have made a very difficult and critical decision to no longer head this team by myself. Now, enter @jamie_cone_ 🙌🏼 This beautiful, authentic woman and I connected on a rewards trip to Tulum, Mexico, and again at the Directors Summit in Texas. I am so grateful and proud to say that I have decided to shift directions and join forces with her and her team going forward in the @bellamebeautyofficial community! What this means is that myself and my team now have access to amazing and proprietary tools and systems to help us automate our business and grow faster than ever (all created by the lovely @aj.yatesinc).
