Celebrating my first true Mother’s Day with the greatest gift the universe could have given me. Our first of many adventures together. The collection of selfies I've taken over the last few days. Somedays is hard to feel like I want to capture myself because the reason seems quite silly. But what's sillier, not taking photos because I feel like I only deserve invisibility right now or taking selfies and making myself feel empowered by forcing myself to see myself as worthy?! It really does help those of us who have low self-esteem. That's something I've suffered with since grade school. I remember the first time I felt hate for myself was in kindergarten. I was tall and thicker than those in my class, and I disliked this. Over the years, I have had high self-esteem to very low self-esteem. I know how to work on it, but that brain can be hard to override. Here's to hopefully turning a new chapter (and feeling like I can do so cause it's second trimester!!!!) It is such an exciting milestone! I am 13 weeks today which means I start the second trimester! And I'm also in my 4th month of pregnancy now! I can't believe I'm in the second trimester now! It's absolutely crazy how quickly this time is going by!
