While I usually prefer tarot decks over oracle decks, I couldn’t resist The Mushroom Oracle. I use the deck more for meditation than divination or detailed spread-based communication. One of my favorite, simple practices: * Choose a card, either randomly from a shuffled deck or one that has been calling to you. * Relax and get comfy, and peer at the card. Take the time to notice overall feel, details, colors, and forms. * Now imagine yourself stepping into the card, and entering its world. You can keep looking at the card or close your eyes, whatever feels right to you. * Notice what exists in this space, move around in the landscape if you want to. You might encounter forms or beings that want to talk to you, you may just experience feelings and sensations. Spend as long as you would like exploring this space. * Bring yourself back out of the card space when you’re done exploring. As someone with endless mind chatter, I love this meditation. It helps my mind slow down and allows me to become more grounded. I did a thing 😏 I designed a card deck all about mushrooms. I actually did it! I may have cried like a baby while opening and reading the affirmations on each card. It started as me just doing something other than work. It was a meditative doodle time & a way for me to reflect on my needs. Each month came a new piece of mushroom art and words that I needed to hear. The affirmations on each card aren’t just random ones from Pinterest. They’re lessons I learned and process with inner reflection. Some are words for my inner child, guidance that resonates deeply. Some are living free from my trauma. And my favorites are simple validations of safety and love. This deck is my growth. It’s an adventure. To me it’s tangible evidence of invisible progress. I’m so proud of it. And me. And you!
