L’adattamento ai giorni nostri degli elementi legati ai noti succhiasangue della cultura horror, è curato in maniera minuziosa e maniacale, ricco di riferimenti nerd cari a Jim Jarmusch; che si concretizza in un realismo sofisticato e coinvolgente. Se dovessi immaginarmi come sarebbero oggi i vampiri, li immaginerei esattamente così. Ma la cosa più rilevante che questa produzione mi ha lasciato, o almeno la mia interpretazione, è la rappresentazione di come può sopravvivere un rapporto di coppia, in cui non esiste timore di mostrare la propria vulnerabilità da parte di entrambi i partner. Dove si mettono a nudo le proprie paure per proteggersi l’un l’altro, rafforzare il rapporto e superare le avversità. Week 16: Movie tribute I remember the first time i watched this movie, i think i was about 12 years old. The vhs tape had norwegian subtitles, and the line was translated to «det er ikke en motorsykkel, det er et helikopter», (as drawn). This was one of the highllights of the movie back then, for a kid not understanding what the movie was about. One memorable line from the movie states: ‘T-rex doesn’t want to be fed, it wants to hunt.’ The goat that the T-Rex is fed with is quickly forgotten, shifting all attention to the T-Rex thereafter. Therefore, I chose to immortalize the goat in this week’s task by featuring it on the chest of this t-shirt. 🩸SOLD - Il secondo e ultimo tributo che ho realizzato per la collettiva "Cover your eyes" @galleries1988 è ispirato al film diretto da Tod Browning "Dracula" del 1931 interpretato da Bela Lugosi. To pay tribute to my grandfather who passed away earlier this month, I wanted to highlight one of his interests: movies!! He not only watched movies, he paid attention to every detail, character, and background sound. My grandfather had a very impressive VHS collection that later expanded to DVD’s. I loved visiting his home and going through piles of movies. My grandfather would ask us questions during the movie to make sure we were following along. I am certain that my ability to dissect a film branched from his early film-watching habits. Although he had a large collection, I remember three movies that he would always enjoy. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) He was a big Clint Eastwood fan! My rating 8.8/10 ⭐️ When you think of a great Western film, this is the first to come to mind. The Temptations (1998) He loved the movie soundtrack; Temptations were one of his favorite vocal groups! My rating 9.1/10 ⭐️ One of the best music biopics of all time. Great casting and wardrobe. Resident Evil (2002) He was a big fan of the female lead “Alice”. He would say “that’s a bad woman right there”! My rating 7.6/10 ⭐️ This movie starts with a bang and ends with an even bigger one. I have been obsessed with this film since first watching it with my grandfather.
