I’m on a mission to align with the higher version of Mariah. The woman God has called me to be. Throughout the last few months to a year, God has been sitting me down w the thought and question “can I go about the present the same way I’ve handled and navigated things in my past??” No. I can’t. Trust n believe, I’ve tried 🥰🤦🏾♀️ Luckily, God is SO gracious, merciful, and forgiving in His very nature, and extends that out to each and every one of us. The biggest way God has truly revealed this to me is pouring abundant blessings into my life after submitting to Him, examples being job opportunities, a better sense of financial independence, wisdom, and certainly relationships, romantic and platonic. Receiving these blessings came with the awareness and acceptance that God is doing a NEW THING in my life! In every aspect of it. To the point where it’s caused me to entirely let go of the way I’ve gone about everything before. I’ve have been brought to my knees in repentance, asking God to renew and restore my mind, my heart and my physical body as it has stored so much trauma and conditioning. It is through His Holy Spirit that I’ve been healed, delivered, and set free from situations, dynamics, substances and people that had strongholds over my life and ain’t allow me to truly advance forward in The Kingdom. Through the Blood Jesus shed for you n I that I made it out the wilderness but even navigated through it in the first place. And it is due to the authority HE has granted me that I reclaim MY life and dedicate it to Him using all the tools I’ve picked up in the wild. If I could write a letter to me… (pictured is 17 year old me) I’d tell her: There’s so much more to life than who likes you in high school. The people that look down on you now won’t matter in 5 years. I know you lost friends but the right ones will come back and stay. That boy you love loves you just as much and you’re almost a year into marriage and have made it to 8 years. That boy you love will always be your biggest supporter. Stop reacting and just sit back and let karma take its course. Pray for those who are so miserable with themselves they feel the need to try and make others miserable. You’re going to grieve people who are still alive, and that’s okay. Stop being worried about if people hear your side of the story. Don’t be scared to speak up. Breaking the generational curses will upset a lot of people, but you will find peace. Jesus is your best friend and I wish you would learn to give your worries to him. You will find answers that end your anxiety. You will learn how to be content with life. You will have to say goodbye too soon to some of the most amazing people, but you will make it through by prayer and leaning on Jesus. You will find peace. You will find happiness. You will succeed in more ways than you know. I know things are so hard right now but you will become the strongest version of yourself. And so much more… 💗 I wish I could go back and hug 17 year old me and assure her, God will get you through your darkest valleys.
