Day In Pictures: 06.Jan.24 The sun was out and I had recovered enough to be able to step out and get some much needed air, and see other humans existing around us. Today was a bit of a food tour, we tried some delicious fish tacos at the Fishermen’s Wharf. It was a slow saturday, with very few people about in the city. I loved the cute little floating homes, really want to spend a night and experience life on the water. We have been meaning to visit the Market Place, and visit the many curious shops and eateries in it. We decided to enjoy some hot vegetarian dumplings, each bite warming us up nicely. We found this interesting vintage stationary shop, The Regional Assembly of Text, with typewriters available to use. My husband wanted to experience the typewriter, and quietly wrote a letter while I designed a nice little button. We hadn’t had our caffeine for the day, which was much needed at this point. I picked a curious flavour or date and fennel seed latte, while the husband chose cookies and creme. We had a long chat, as we sipped away. With his busy schedule, we rarely get a chance to chat and unwind, therefore days like these are rare and special. Before calling it a day, we had butter chicken shawarma at the Mediterranean Grill. Having small snacks throughout the day was quite fun, as we got to try different items from different places. It didn’t make us feel heavy or lazy either, which a full meal tends to do. I am so grateful for feeling better, getting back to doing chores, cooking and being able to go out. Health is truly a blessing. Aber bevor es so weit war, verbrachten wir mehrere Tage damit, den Ort mit der Golden Gate Bridge zu besichtigen. An einem Tag besuchten wir Alcatraz, die berühmte Gefängnisinsel mit ihrer düsteren Vergangenheit. Im Kontrast dazu besuchten wir einen Tag später den belebten Fisherman’s Wharf, wo der Duft von frischem Fisch, die lebendige Atmosphäre und die vielen süßen Straßen für gute Laune sorgten. Definitiv eine Stadt mit einem einzigartigen Flair. My biggest trip of 2023 ✨ In February, I explored the north of Europe for 1 entire month with my friend @mariebucketlist and we discovered so many insane places by doing it with @interraileu 🤯🤩 Besides ticking off of our respective bucketlists the Northern Lights, the Lofoten islands in Norway were my favorite part of our Scandinavian travel.
