The anti-lockdown protests The anti-lockdown protest in Belgrade that took place in July 2020, caused by high level of frustration with government arrogance, incompetence and intransparency in dealing with the pandemic. The protests were triggered by President’s announcement on reintroducing curfew. Since the beginning of the protests the government has been controlling and tolerating violence instigated by a small, but well-organized groups of nationalists and hooligans, with the aim of discrediting justified citizens’ anger. However, the situation went out of control when other groups extremists, not controlled by the authorities, increased violence and stepped up attacks on the police. Since the protests have been hijacked by a couple of hundred nationalists who imposed defending Kosovo as the main issue and, in such a way, derailed the citizens’ anger over government misconduct related to the pandemic, the overall number of protesters was steadily dropping. The photojournalists who covered these events were considerably obstructed in covering the protest due to constant threats to their lives and equipment coming from the violent protesters. At the end of the day 4 of the one-week long July 2020 anti-government protests in Belgrade, the silence was suddenly broken by screaming for help from the dark park just across the Serbian Parliament. The screaming draw attention to a disturbing scene of a young protester trapped by the undercover police agent who, surrounded by his colleagues, strongly applied pressure on the protester, holding him tightly on the ground - the scene that was incredibly reminiscent of the tragic event from the U.S. when a police officer killed an African-American, George Floyd, applying a similar choking technique. The scene instilled fear in the citizens present who kept shouting to let the young man go. El Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP) anunció este lunes la reanudación de la vacunación contra la Covid-19 en Ecuador. Esto se dará a partir de la última semana de este mes. La campaña de vacunación se ejecutará en alrededor de 1.975 Centros de Salud que se encuentran en las 24 provincias del país. La inversión en el 2024 para la adquisición de 500 mil dosis corresponde a USD 8 millones. Las primeras 250 mil dosis arribaron en este mes y fueron distribuidas, bajo la cadena de frío, a las nueve zonales. Menteri Kesehatan (Menkes) Singapura, Ong Ye Kung mengungkapkan bahwa Negeri Singa menghadapi gelombang baru Covid- 19. Peningkatan ini terjadi selama dua minggu terakhir. Pada pekan 5-11 Mei 2024, tercatat ada 25.900 kasus Covid-19 yang terdeteksi. Angka ini meningkat 90 persen dari pekan sebelumnya sebanyak 13.700 kasus. Angka rawat inap juga meningkat pada periode yang sama. Rata-rata rawat inap harian menjadi 250 dari 181 pasien pada pekan sebelumnya. "Kita berada di awal gelombang [Covid-19], di mana gelombang ini terus meningkat," ujar Menteri Kesehatan Singapura Ong Ye Kung, mengutip The Strait Times. Ye Kung memprediksi, puncak gelombang Covid-19 kali ini akan terjadi pada pertengahan hingga akhir Juni mendatang. Mengutip Channel News Asia, peningkatan tersebut diduga terjadi karena dua subvarian Covid-19 teranyar yang belakangan tengah jadi perbincangan. Subvarian KP.1 dan KP.2 berkontribusi terhadap dua per tiga kasus Covid-19 di Singapura. Kedua strain ini masuk dalam kelompok varian FLiRT. Em fevereiro de 2021, a agente contraiu Covid-19 e faleceu 16 dias depois, deixando um viúvo e dois filhos. Ação Trabalhista A família entrou com uma ação trabalhista contra o Município de Belo Horizonte, alegando negligência por não afastar a trabalhadora de suas funções. O juiz reconheceu a existência de doença ocupacional e a responsabilidade civil objetiva do município. Decisão Judicial O município foi condenado a pagar R$ 250 mil por danos morais para cada um dos herdeiros e uma pensão mensal correspondente a 2/3 do último salário da falecida. A decisão destacou que as atividades de agente comunitária de saúde são de risco, justificando a responsabilidade objetiva. Desfecho A sentença reforça a importância da responsabilidade objetiva e a necessidade de os empregadores tomarem todas as medidas preventivas para proteger seus trabalhadores.
