Last image before I disappear again -- this is all I've got for now. Redwoods, 2023. Not long after I found this composition, an ENTIRE WORKSHOP of photographers arrived and literally SURROUNDED me with their tripods. Legs overlapping and everything! Swipe and be amused. I mean, I felt honored that a workshop instructor said "you see that guy's composition over there? Go comp stomp it!" 😂 Realistically, probably someone from the group found this spot in the days before, I'm sure I wasn't the first one to notice it. And they were a funny bunch so I wasn't particularly annoyed. Anyway, enough about us tripod dorks frolicking around an enchanted forest -- the really cool thing (for me) about this image is that I was living in my van full-time when I took it. Yep, I've finally joined the ranks of van dwellers. I'll include a couple shots of Bregalad here as well, from my campsite the night this image was taken, and from Yukon last fall. Wonder if anyone recognizes where his name is from. So, yep, landscape photography, van life, I'm really living some kind of West Coast stereotype. Great Ocean Road — Spent the morning running through California redwood forests in the Otways and hiking steps to Hopetoun Falls. Something so peaceful (and freezing) about being in the highlands again.
