Cancerland has taken over these last couple of weeks. 3 appointments in 3 days done ✅ Contrast dye followed by Zoladex is not the one 🤢 I also turned up at Phlebotomy, which is usually a 'take a ticket and wait', to find it had shut completely and was now appointment only in a different part of the hospital 🤦♀️ so I had to go cap in hand to Shooting Star, my chemo unit, with my little pickle and they swiftly sorted me out! Someone needs to get them capes 🦸🏻♀️ Scan and bloods done, so now we wait.... I've been distracting myself with all things rainbow 🌈 preparing for Miss E's first birthday 🥳 I've been questioning whether I should have moved the scan back because if these aren't good results, by way of association, I don't want to ruin the memory of this milestone for her or for me. BIRTHDAY EVE EVE And all the emotions kicked in whilst I was wrapping Alfie’s presents when he was napping. Why does this happen?! I think seeing how much he’s grown up in the past month it’s like he’s not a baby anymore all of a sudden, he has settle sessions at nursery Thursday and Friday this week then starts 2 days a week and I really don’t feel ready! On this day last year, my little lucky Ace, my dream boy, made his happy and peaceful entrance into the world to the soundtrack of @fredagainagainagainagainagain and @brianeno… and has remained as happy and peaceful ever since 🩵 Ace came into my life at exactly the right time. The last year has been exceptionally difficult for a number of reasons - but none of those have revolved around Ace. And on every day when I’ve been crumbling to pieces, Ace has been there with the widest smile and his crinkley eyes and his gorgeous soul and added a glimmer of happiness to the day. He is the happiest, smiliest baby I’ve ever come across, and everyone says the same. Even the childminder asked me if he ever cried 😂 He is so loving. He loves to be loved and love on others, always wanting to snuggle and cuddle and give big kisses. He has the most beautiful little personality and I feel so lucky and grateful to be his mummy.
