Whatever a planet promises in the chart, will materialise at that age. Concept of Maturity can be used in conjunction with dasha and transit to arrive at predictions. The message behind my post is this: regardless of what you’re doing « wrong » in terms of learning and practicing astrology, there is no harm in laughing it out and remembering what you are doing « right ». Some flex’y astro non-rookie things to consider: 🙌🏽 Studying various birth charts online (pick your favorite celebrity or philosopher, write their name on Google and add the keywords birth chart: you’ll be amazed at what you find). 🙌🏽 Do your friend's birth charts, but do not offer them « readings » since you are just using their charts as material to study. Just like a doctor can practice on his friends but cannot diagnose cancer unless he is equipped to do so, do not lead people astray by giving them personality traits or life predictions based on what you thought you glanced at the charts they freely allowed you to dissect. 🙌🏽 Watch and listen to various astrologers explain your favorite topics in order to understand the nuances between different ways of practicing. As an example, your favorite astrology podcast could be using modern astrology while another astrology website could be using traditional Hellenistic techniques. Venus, or Afrodite in ancient greek mythology, is the goddess of beauty, desire, pleasure, marriage, love, birth, earth but also grief, pain, death etc. Given that Venus shows the way that we love or what we look for in the relationships, depending on the sign she's in, gives some basic characteristics about that. In general, Venus shows the way we present ourselves and how we take care of ourselves, especially our appearance, since Afrodite was sprucing herself with perfumes and was dressed in beautiful clothes. Sun enters Taurus 19th April 2024 at 15h UTC This is my sister, Jennie. She has four planets in Taurus including the Sun and Jupiter. She spends most of winter dressed entirely in cashmere looking warm, cosy and absolutely stunning. Being a Taurus, she is also very sensible with money, however, so most of her luxurious wardrobe consists of ‘lucky finds’ picked up in the sales. When you enter her home, you are immediately struck by its delicious perfume – scented candles and diffusers are in every room. New Moon at 19 deg 24’ Aries on 8th April 2024 at 19h21 UT. Total Solar Eclipse at 19h17 UT. There are moments in our lives when we sense we are at a crossroads. Transition points on which outcomes hang. Times at which the future waits for the soul to choose its path - consciously or otherwise. And sometimes, these points fall on eclipses. Eclipses are portals. The challenges they present when they are locked into our personal birth chart by sign and degree often determine how we go forward. They symbolise beginnings and endings and can be profoundly transformative. This is a solar (New Moon) eclipse in Aries so it speaks of beginnings which will carry us through to the next eclipse season in six months’ time, and perhaps further still into the future. In Aries it is bold and direct, with a dose of compassion and imagination from ruler Mars in Pisces. Mars is approaching stoical Saturn, lord of boundaries, which may signal frustration but also give us the power of endurance. This could be an eclipse where we understand that there is something we must endure. As with all cosmic energies, eclipses work best when we open ourselves to their potential. This eclipse is especially powerful as it is exactly conjunct Chiron, which represents the shaman, the healer and the teacher. Chiron shows where we feel wounded. It speaks to the outsider in us all. Shadow work is about meeting yourself in the dark with curiosity. It's about learning to hold ALL versions of yourself with Grace & Compassion. It's about Vulnerability, Raw and Brutal Truths, Acceptance, & Resiliency. It's about asking yourself the questions you're afraid to know the answers to. I've always been a naturally inquisitive person & That perspective around my grief, shame, behaviors & patterns, rage, & emotions has served me in the endless shadow work I've been required to do to maintain life. Someone told me yesterday that I'm that girl who enters the dark caves to cuddle with evil beasts, while others are looking on Absolutely Sure they're going to Kill me; & somehow I come out smiling & joyful 😅 It was So sweet & meaningful to have someone Witness me in that way-& it felt So Deeply True. I have entered that cave So Many times...During abusive relationships...When I Finally started to admit the Years of sXtrauma...When my father died...During miscarriages...Over a 2.5yr unemployment stretch...When sister friends died way too young...Repeated job/Grad school rejections...When my brother died-& when my fears of suicide were confirmed...In grappling with blocking family...When I revealed a 35yr secret met with silence...In the difficult realms of marriage... Over & Over I've been thrust into this dark work-& sometimes it doesn't feel like I'm going to make it out alive...But, now I have so Many Layers of foundation to Know how Strong I am. I know that each time I feel like I'm dying-a Part of me IS Energetically dying, & I must let her go, but Keep the wisdom She fought so hard for. The Truth of Shadow work (& my Willingness to Meet myself in the Underground world) has repeatedly killed various parts of my ego, has allowed me to Stop Abandoning myself for others, has forged a Deep Spiritual Knowing in other realms & Strengthened my Faith, & has led to an Integration and Acceptance of my shadow parts-instead of a dissection on Self. This human experience can be Wickedly painful, but learning to support our Spirits evolution through love for Our unique magic IS what leads to more Light in this world.
