Not my photos but I saw them on Google and wanted share them. These pictures were taken back in 1992, by someone riding Snow White’s Adventures at Tokyo Disneyland. This was the “Frightening Forest” scene in the ride, heavily inspired by the Disney World version. Happy 40th Anniversary to Tokyo Disneyland! Opening on April 15, 1983 it was the first ever international Disney Park and is still one of the top five best Disney parks now four decades later, as well as the #1 Disney park that I’d personally love to visit the most that I still haven’t been to yet! Here’s to 40 more years to come I sure do that I’ll get to visit it sometime this decade. The Tokyo Disney resort in general looks absolutely incredible between having this park that looks amazing keeping things from the 20th century that have sadly gone away at other Disney Parks and Tokyo DisneySea looks phenomenal too! I have to say I’m honestly really thankful that Tokyo Disneyland isn’t owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company, it’s great that there’s a Disney Park still run the way things we’re in the Walt to early Eisner years, I love that Splash Mountain is staying the same there, aside from Star Tours there’s nothing Iger acquired represented there, their new additions like the Beauty and the Beast ride look amazing and better than pretty much every ride the US parks have gotten in the past decade, and that they have the best merchandise and most characters out of the Disney Parks. Their Country Bear theater is better than Magic Kingdom’s too with it showing all three versions and the uncut version of the original! How I look forward to the day I finally go, I’ll then be of the few who went to both Splash Mountain and Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, AND Tokyo Disneyland! If I do have one criticism with Tokyo Disneyland though, I really wish that The Mickey Mouse Revue would have stayed. I really wish that I could have gotten to see it before it closed in 2009. At least I’ve seen The Three Caballeros animatronics on Gran Fiesta Tour MANY times! A vintage, park-used Evil Queen meet-and-greet sign from Disneyland. This unique, handmade sign from Disneyland’s sign shop dates back to the 1970s/80s. It consists of hand-lettered writing in artist’s markers on heavyweight card stock that was then trimmed and affixed to a larger art board backing that was then embellished with hand-painted decorative scrollwork. Me on the last day of Snow White’s Scary Adventures. Today I am posting my 2003 video footage of Snow White’s Scary Adventures at the Magic Kingdom. This dark ride opened on opening day, Oct. 1, 1971 and terrified small children until May 31, 2012. Guests rode in mine cars during their three minute perilous journey. In the 1971-1994 version (the one that made me Smurf my pants) guests went through all the scary scenes of the movie encountering the Witch seven times along with tree monsters, alligator logs, skeletons, vultures, and lightning. After a 1994 refurbishment Snow White and the Prince were added into the ride and some dancing dwarfs. The 1994 version is still scary, but not as scary as the original. The ride reopened on Dec. 16, 1994 with new three-row mine cars, instead of the old two-row like at Disneyland. The ride was replaced with the Princess Fairytale Hall meet & greet. . Marge Champion was the model for Walt Disney’s Snow White and she was born on Sept. 2, 1919. Last year she passed away at the age of 101. Today I am posting a 2003 home video of Snow White’s Scary Adventures at Disneyland. This is an original 1955 opening day dark ride, which used to warn people that the ride was scary. When the attraction was refurbished in 1983, it was renamed Snow White’s Scary Adventure. The original name was Snow White’s Adventures. Snow White was placed in the ride for the 1983 refurbishment, but you still see the Evil Queen a lot more. The ride received improved special effects and a longer track (100 feet extra). The Queen’s castle became the new ride exterior and up in the tower you can catch the Queen peeking out now and then. Disney Legend Ken Anderson worked on the 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the 1955 original attraction, AND the 1983 refurbishment! The track layout was designed by Bill Martin and the ride system was provided by Arrow Development. The ride vehicles are mine cars which are named after the Seven Dwarfs. I would honestly pick the Dwarfs' mine cause think about it, drippin' in perfectly cut diamonds, long, dark tunnels that intruders won't know how to navigate, sturdy, decorative architecture, and a working crew to pluck those gems for me.

Lame-o 2020 threw a wrench in the unveiling of the Snow White revamp in Disneyland BUT it’s exciting that this will happen SOMEDAY! 🤗🍎🤗🍎🤗🍎🤗🍎🤗🍎 Concept art shows shadowy riders going past dreamy scenes and Disney Parks Blog describes the reimagined ride like so: “In addition to experiencing familiar elements of the attraction you know and love, you’ll discover enhanced story details and all-new scenes. For example, a new vignette will show Snow White in a beautiful forest setting waking up from her deep sleep. Also, the attraction will conclude when Snow White is reunited with her animal friends and a shimmering castle is seen in the distance. Imagineers are implementing state-of-the-art audio and visual technology throughout the attraction, including new music, LED black lighting, laser projections and a new animation system.
