A large assortment of park signs and artwork, including this #Pinocchio parking lot sign, a large hand-painted #TinkerBell cameo from #BibbidiBobbidiBoutique, and several silkscreened #disneylandattractionposters. 4. A complete collection of #Olszewski #MainStreetUSA models assembled into a large, impressive 1/220th scale diorama. 5. A screen-used spaceship from #CaptainEO starring #MichaelJackson. 6. A park-used harness strap and pendant from #Disneyland ‘s Fire Department horse team. I’ve seen a large number of these offered on online marketplaces recently, but this is the only one I’ve seen that has an official #Disney Certificate of Authenticity. 7. A pair of speakers from the #DisneylandRailroad excursion cars. 8. From #Fantasia, a #SorcerersApprentice Mickey figure and a Broom figure from the #DisneyStore. 9. A #parkused candelabra prop from the skeleton caverns of #PiratesOfTheCaribbean. 10. A park-used #Tomorrowland entrance plaque from the 1998 reopening of Tomorrowland. Happy 53rd Birthday, Haunted Mansion! This is a park-used event poster promoting the Haunted Mansion’s 2009 “O-pin House” event to commemorate the attraction’s 40th anniversary in Disneyland. This large, rare poster was designed by Chris Chapman of the Disney Design Group to promote the pin trading event held to celebrate the ride’s anniversary. Although this poster appears old and worn, it is actually in excellent condition – all of the distress, which includes fold lines, creases, dirt, and wear, is designed into the image. Two things are especially notable about this particular poster. The first is the prominent appearance of the Hatbox Ghost. In 2009, the Hatbox Ghost was still a legendary figure who hadn’t appeared in the Haunted Mansion since its opening weeks in 1969. He wouldn’t rejoin the attraction until 2015, six years after this event, making this poster an early foreshadowing of Disney’s plans. The second notable thing about this poster isn’t as obvious. This early version of this poster was printed with a misprint – the word “arrangements” is misspelled – and for a short while, it was actually displayed in the park with this mistake. The spelling was soon corrected, making this early version an even scarcer version of an already rare poster. This image was quite popular and was also used for other promotional items such as cards and invitations, as well as for merchandise including, of course, Disney pins. A park-used “Servants Quarters” sign from the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World. This bat-shaped sign was used to designate cast-only areas within the attraction, but its most famous use was at the “Servants Quarters” alternate entrance in the attraction queue. Originally a simple backstage access hallway for cast members and park guests with limited mobility, it was eventually themed match the attraction. Now tour patrons, VIPs, and lucky guests who pass through the Servants Quarters will find props, decorations, and plenty of ghostly atmosphere. This sign is made of clear acrylic and detailed with applied graphics and embossed lettering on the reverse, resulting in a glossy, dimensional finish. A cast-exclusive Star Tours Boarding pass and slipcover from the attraction’s cast premiere at Disneyland. On January 12th through January 16th, 1987, Disneyland conducted its cast premiere for their newest attraction, complete with airline-style tickets and slipcovers issued to each cast member. A different colored boarding pass was issued every night; this light blue boarding pass was for January 16, the final night of the preview. It remains in unused condition, with the tearaway stub still attached. A resort-used sign from the opening of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS at the Disneyland Resort. THE FORCE AWAKENS was the first Star Wars movie that Disney produced after their acquisition of Lucasfilm, and in order for their four-billion-dollar investment to pay off, they needed their re-launch of the Star Wars franchise to be a success. Fortunately, THE FORCE AWAKENS was a big hit, taking in nearly $937 million at the box office and paving the way for a new trilogy, an expanded cinematic universe, several television series, and a little piece of real estate known as Galaxy’s Edge. THE FORCE AWAKENS premiered in LA on December 14, 2015, and went into wide release that weekend.
