We may be at the end of National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, but that does not mean we are at the end of reminding you how important being active is! 🙃 Overall US adults are more physically active than they were 20 years ago, but many are inactive, so there is still work to do! 💪 According to the @CDCgov, physical activity is one of the best things people can do to improve their health. Active people generally live longer and are at less risk for many chronic diseases such as heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. Physical activity has also been shown to improve mental health, cognitive function, quality of life, and sleep quality and boost the immune system. So be sure you get out and be active this month in a way that you enjoy, and every other month that isn't May! 🏃💃🏄🏊🚴‍♀️
