Join me during the winter months for an introduction to Basket Weaving in our first series of mindfulness Crafting Circles. This is a series of four workshops covering a variety of basketry styles and techniques. It will allow participants to discover the joy of creating and experimenting with techniques and materials while learning this ancient and sustainable craft. . Sally Blackwell from @wastenotfibredesigns will@be joining us to guide and teach the basics over 4 monthly classes. In each workshop you will learn a new technique using a variety of materials, while in the final week you can experiment with your favourite technique, or combination of techniques. 🌟Navigating Change Before it Arrives 🌼 Menopause can be a challenging journey for women. Did you know that many women in their mid-late 40s quit work or step down due to menopause-related challenges? This is a stark reality, but it's a challenge that we can address through early awareness. As someone who is navigating their own menopause journey, I am dedicated to supporting women in a similar phase. My work highlights the value of creativity and project management for balance admist chaos, and I'm learning to slow down in preparation for what’s to come (and oh boy is that hard when you’ve spent decades being so fast paced). It's vital to communicate this journey to family, spouse, and kids, and let's not forget the workplace. Menopause affects women's professional lives too. By fostering open dialogues and awareness ahead of time, we can create a supportive environment, preventing unnecessary career exits.
