God's providence at work in my life should be one of my greatest securities in this life. Knowing that nothing is by chance or fate, but all is being worked in and through my life through a good God who knows me better than I know myself. The Lord is working out all things for my good and His glory, with the end purpose, always being to mold me more into the image of Jesus. God knows the circumstances needed in my life to make me more like Jesus, and they're different than the circumstances needed in your life. Many times I forget about God's providence at work in my life. I see interruptions as an inconvenience. These aren't interruptions, but what the Lord has appointed for me at that moment. My heart isn't always ready to respond with that sort of thinking in mind. It reveals my heart needs some pruning. The more we grow in grace, the more we grow in the knowledge of God and self, the more we see God’s mighty hand in our lives, the more we see God’s grace & mercy in salvation…the more we praise Him! Do not find contentment in what you know of God today as though you could ever know enough. A holy discontentment for the things of Him is a good thing because we should never feel as though we’ve reached a point on this side of heaven where we know all there is to know of God and rightly. He is too wonderful for comprehension so we dare not think there is nothing more of Him to learn or see as beautiful. May we pursuit proper theology and not settle for anything less. May we rely on the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and ears every time we approach the Word and may our humble prayer be, “Show me more of You, o God. I want to love You more.” 🙏🏾❤️

Peace in a world of chaos. I didn’t clean up before taking this picture. It wasn’t staged. I felt it was important enough to reveal the imperfection and often chaotic nature of life. Sometimes it’s as simple as a messy dinner table, toys everywhere, and piling bills. Chaos can be very different for each of us, but chaos disrupts peace if we let it. Lately, I’ve been letting the world’s chaos control me rather than Christ, but this morning I was reminded by Christ’s peace—a peace He can only fulfill. I was reading in Philippians starting from the chapter 1, but I was quickly reminded of in Philippians 2:5, “Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus,” and verse 14 “Do everything without grumbling and arguing,”. Then I was reminded of the ever famous chapter 4:6-7 (for good reason mind you) “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7 The takeaway? Our attitude is imperative for us to have peace and the only way to have true peace is to focus on Jesus. He is the author of peace and freedom. Reflecting on the godly example my mother set for my sister and I, my heart fills with gratitude, because I know she is an active part of God’s grace in my life. But He didn’t stop there—He gave me godly grandmothers, a godly mother-in-law, and other mother figures who are all part of His grace in my life and today I am extra thankful. Where would we be without the care + wisdom of our Mothers? In a time where the family is so clearly under threat and the enemy seeks to sow confusion and discord, may we honor and cherish the roles that God has outlined for the family. When Mother's Day is Hard Over the last few months, Prince Charlie and I have come to accept that it is probably not God's will for us to raise children of our own this side of heaven. I know you want to send me a message of examples like Sarah who had a son when she was “as good as dead” (Romans 4:19). But God did not promise us a child. This is not as easy as flipping a switch. Some days like Mother's Day I have to make peace with the reality that this will never be a day where I will be celebrated with hand-painted cards and fluffy slippers. It is not in God's plan for my life. On these hard days, I can reflect on what I know to be true regardless of my feelings: God is good. God loves me. God is in sovereign control and works all things for my good and his purpose. I can decide daily to submit to his perfect plan instead of my imperfect, selfish desires. {New Blog Post} Grasping the Gospel How has the gospel changed your life? It didn’t happen in a single moment, but over many months and years of trying to figure out how my story fit into God’s plan, the Lord pointed me to the gospel. The truth is that I am a sinner and my best efforts at being “good” are like “filthy rags” before the Lord (Isaiah 64:6). Nothing I can do can earn his favour and no amount of striving can compel him to give me the desires of my heart. God is not my genie. God is my Creator and my King. He owes me nothing. My sinful nature deserves eternal punishment. Yet, he loves me so much that He saved me from eternal death through Jesus’ death on the cross. He gave himself for me. That is all the evidence I need to know that He loves me. {New Blog Post} Learning in the Waiting In the early days of monthly disappointments of negative tests and empty arms, I looked to online women’s bible studies and worship songs to console me while the tears flowed. One of these songs is “Even If” by MercyMe. This song alludes to the story of Daniel’s friends who are cast in the blazing furnace in Daniel 3. They tell Nebuchadnezzar that they know God could save them, but even if he decides not to save them they would not bow down to the king (Daniel 3:17-18). I related this story to myself as a place-holder: until God fulfils my desires I will believe He is good. In the meantime, I was serving the god of motherhood and it was taking over my life. I became so consumed with my desires that my only explanation for my unmet desires was that God must not love me and that all the hard work I had done for him meant nothing... In Matthew 6:34, Jesus is finishing this portion of the Sermon on the Mount which is referred to as “The Cure for Anxiety.” Jesus emphasizes that life is so much more about food, clothing, and what we can store for tomorrow. He states that provision comes from the Lord, and He compares us to the beautiful flowers of the fields and the birds of the skies. They never worry about being provided sunlight or their fill for the day because God clothes the flowers and provides for the birds. If God is willing to do that, won’t He willingly provide for His children? An important part of this passage is Jesus states, “BUT seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” This clearly states that to receive provision from God is to first be part of His kingdom.

{New Blog Post} Even When His Answer is No, God is Still Good It is beautiful when God answers your heart’s prayer with a miraculous answer. In those moments when we experience clear evidence of our Father’s favour it is easy to believe that God is good and He loves us. Unfortunately, in this sin-cursed world, these miracles are the exception, rather than the norm. More often than not our Lord delays his answer, calling us to a season of waiting. Other times, even when we persevere in prayer and continue to wait (im)patiently, He does not give us what we want but rather answers with a “no”. As hard as it is to keep faith in the waiting, can we still believe God is good when he says no?
