There is not much to say these days, just a steady holding on, a steady staying with. These are wild times. When will we begin to choose new stories? We are vessels. The Buddha sat for 49 days under the Bodhi tree facing the demons of the world and his own, one by one, Yeshua stayed 40 days in the desert to be undone and remember how to keep chosing the good. No one said it would have been an easy task. And yet here we are asked "what shall you choose?". In Yeshuas story the primary temptation is that of forgetting our true origin, which is the same for ALL, the second is to misuse our power, the third to misuse religious/political power. Peace be with you! The question for today…are you a peacemaker or a peacekeeper? Pause and let’s think about this. Peacemakers and peacekeepers both have a high value for peace but what’s the difference between the two? Let’s take a look. The peacekeeper has the job of only keeping the external peace avoiding conflict but the peacemaker is focused on a persons inner peace of heart and dealing with conflict resolutions. Scripture tells us that God is calling us to be peacemakers. Read Matthew 5:9, Proverbs 12:20, Romans 12:18, 14:19 and Hebrews 12:14. Will you be the one God is looking for? Recently, I experienced the hand of God rescue my life from a potentially horrible accident. All I could do was immediately shout out with all my strength over and over again, “Thank You Jesus! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.” As I sit here this morning reading God’s Word in my quiet time, I’m praying for all of you, the community of believers, to have a heart of peace from Jesus and live each day with an attitude of thankfulness. Every situation you and I come face-to-face with requires an immediate reaction. How we react is really a heart issue, isn’t it? Whatever rules your heart comes out of your mouth and your actions. You matter to God. Your heart matters to God. He sees when you allow the PEACE of Jesus to rule in your heart with thankfulness. Then, in His mercy and grace He takes your heart of PEACE and multiplies it in the entire community of believers for God’s greater good. Be encouraged. There is hope. Let your heart be the home of the peace of Christ.
