Imbolc is almost here! Imbolc is celebrated halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox (usually february 1st or 2nd), making this Sabbat a crossroads between the seasons. Ieri ho scoperto che un festival con tematiche stregonesche è stato cancellato a causa di divergenze con la parrocchia locale. Questo mi ha sorpreso e fatto pensare. In un periodo storico in cui l’inclusività dovrebbe essere promossa soprattutto in ambito religioso e spirituale, è assurdo che questi eventi siano ancora visti come una minaccia. Sono consapevole che concetti come stregoneria, paganesimo e culti neopagani possano evocare nell’immaginario collettivo ricordi non del tutto positivi. Questo rafforza la mia convinzione dell’importanza di diffondere maggiormente la conoscenza e di discutere in merito al sincretismo tra le religioni antiche e le tradizioni locali. Comes in a 16 oz wide flat round candle tin (black-colored) with a lid featuring a Brigid's Knot. Brigit is the daughter of Dagda, the protector of the tribe, and Morrigan, another triple mother Goddess, and she is one of the Tuatha De Danann, which means people of the Goddess Danu.
