The Eve Illusion was just as great as the first book, the pace way great and the characters were brilliant. I don’t want to include any spoilers but the scene towards the end with the Freevers (Free-Eve-ers) really bothered me as it was a bit sudden and glossed over pretty quick and I also wasn’t pleased with the the little…erm…surprise at the end as I felt it went against everything she fought for in the first book but it was still logical and made sense so all is forgiven. I’ve really enjoyed these and was glad there wasn’t a lot of teen drama going on as that always irritates me, and so glad for an fmc who has her shit together and isn’t just looking for problems to mope about. I bought this and The Eve Illusion months ago and never got around to reading them but I finally picked it up and couldn’t put it down. I thought it was well written, well paced and loved the plot. The characters were great, the bad guys made my blood boil and the good guys had me rooting for them from the beginning. One of my favourite things was the fact that Eve wasn’t stupid the way a lot of female characters are often written, she had her head screwed on and was able to put things together before they became blindingly obvious, and she didn’t do that annoying self doubt thing that female characters are often written with. I fell in love with Bram from his first chapter, he was just so lovely and a complete green flag. I thought the story flowed really well, it never got boring but also wasn’t rushed, I was really able to put myself into Eve’s shoes and feel what she felt. When she felt angry I felt angry and when she felt sad I felt sad. And the injustice of the way she was being treated really got under my skin so I was grinning like a lunatic when she started to fight back #girlpower ✊🏻 Fully recommend this book! Our bedtime story. In May 🙈 but we just love Christmasaurus. So far, for me, the best of the first three books. We are roughly half way through and so far it's all about Christmasaurus. São mais de 15 anos sendo fã desses caras, vi eles crescerem, constituírem família e finalmente tive a oportunidade de vê-los ao vivo, num show histórico (o mais longo da carreira deles até hoje) e com uma setlist estelar.
