It doesn’t say God’s going to come and put this on for you. It says you better put it on. What are you putting on? The new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. You put it on. And the verse just prior to that, verse 23, tells us how to put it on. and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude]—Ephesians 4:23 The Bible tells us that the way we put on this newness that we have been given in our new birth is to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. We have to change our thinking. We have to stop and think as God says and not as we see or as we hear. If we continue to live as carnal men, using just what these eyes see, just what these ears hear, just what these hands can feel and where these feet can take us, we are going to be most miserable. Most miserable in the days to come. God has made it very easy for us to live in the spirit by the spirit. But we have to put that on ourselves. We have to put it on. It’s not going to happen to you automatically. If you desire to live successfully in the days that are coming ahead. They are getting darker and darker and slimier, any way you look at it. I’m overwhelmed almost daily at what I see in the news. How can it get any worse? And you turn it on tomorrow and guess what? It’s worse. It got worse. We are in a dark and fallen world. But God is still looking. He is still looking for the man that He created. HIS OWN IMAGE God created man in His own image. Meaning every part of God was put into this man. Everything, every part of Him, He created him as Him. And this man went through the garden and was given full authority, full dominion, full control, freedom, total freedom. God created from the man a woman. He called her the womb man. If you look at scripture, He still called her Adam. They were one. When he looked at Adam and Eve, He saw them as one. They were to work together in the garden, and were to nurture it. Adam and Eve were to bring forth fruit. We all know the story. That went really well for a short season. Then the enemy came in. The enemy came in with a lie, a lie that Eve bought. The lie was this, you are missing something. There’s something God is keeping from you. He is withholding the good stuff. But if you will eat of the fruit of this tree, then you will be as He. The lie was; Eve was already like God. She was already a hundred percent like God. She had all the fullness of the Godhead. Everything was already in her and as she partook and her husband Adam partook with her of the forbidden tree. And, sin entered the earth. From that moment to this God has been looking for a body, a family. that will go back to that place and do what He created the original man to do. Time went on. You know the story. The Old Testament is long and bloody and hard and very miserable. Jesus arrives in the beginning of the New Testament. We see His birth, and His life in the Gospels. We see His death. Additionally, we see His burial and His resurrection. In that frame of time, God began to put all the pieces in place for what He wanted from the beginning to resurrect again. In Christ, in Jesus, the Father deposited everything. Everything heaven had. While He was still with the Father and the Holy Spirit in heaven, He already owned all that heaven had. But He was stripped of it. He actually gave it all up. The scripture says, He willingly came. He willingly laid down his deity. And He became just like you and me. 🌟Whether life is going bananas or all it going well, putting Spirit in the driver's seat of our lives is always a good idea, shuga! I almost engaged in that nonsense! …and then I realized what was happening! OF COURSE I’M A GOOD MOM! I am a GREAT MOM! I am a WONDERFUL MOM! I am a FANTASTIC MOM!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 You know how I know? Because my Heavenly Father ABUNDANTLY equips me to be good at every assignment He’s called me to! He placed Himself inside of me in the form of His Holy Spirit and makes me good at being a mom! 💕 Satan tries to make us feel very arrogant to speak with and agree with Truth…when actually it’s arrogant to agree with his lies, because it’s the same thing as telling God that He is wrong. It requires all kinds of humility to agree with Truth and speak Truth about ourselves! And this is HOW WE NEED TO SPEAK AND THINK ABOUT OURSELVES!!🎉 This moment happened as Luke and I were sitting the couch together, right before bed, so it made way for a life-giving and empowering conversation about KNOWING SECURELY who we are in Christ! 🥰 I want him to learn as a child, not an adult, about his identity! 💙 Your identity matters and it needs to be FIRMLY ANCHORED in Truth!!! One of the things that I have come to accept is it is okay to walk unfinished. Now, this is huge for me because, if I am honest, I want things to be neatly packaged in life. However, we all know life can be rather messy🤷🏾♀️… • Here’s the thing: As Christians, salvation means we live in the truth of Christ’s finished work, which is perfect, washing us so clean that His Spirit has made His home in us. It’s pretty darn amazing! When I read the Bible, I am reminded how the Old Testament saints looked forward to the day when the Spirit of Holiness will abide in us forever. • Pause and Muse the Scriptures🤔 • “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17. • Sanctification is another part of the journey. This is walking out what Christ has done in us, which involves cooperating with and abiding in what He is doing in us. This can be a little more challenging, and one of the reasons resting in Him is a crucial component of the process. • Muse the Scriptures🤔 • “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16. • “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25. • So let me let you in on what happened… This morning, I felt some kind of way about something… and realized the emotion wasn’t bad but rather an indication of a tiny fox attempting to enter His garden of love.
