Are you a yes person? Well if you’re like me you’re saying yes to the wrong things 🙈 Yes to extra hours at work. Staying late, coming early or during off days 🙄 Saying yes to side gigs when I’d rather have the time for me & what sets my soul on fire. Saying yes to tasks that don’t serve me but I feel I owe a favor to that person 🤷🏻♀️ I would love the freedom to say no to these items. And instead say yes to adventures, beach days, dive trips, brunch, drinks, etc. 🏖️ All the things I want to do but either don’t have the energy or money to make it happen. I think the term responsible is heavily misconstrued in our society - we see people as responsible if they have a dependable job and a nice house, extra points if they’re married with kids. It doesn’t matter that the dependable job is draining their soul every single day, it doesn’t matter that the nice house they pay so much mortgage on doesn’t make them happy, it doesn’t matter if their relationship is void of passion and excitement. Responsibility is seen as having your life together in a physical sense; the job, the house, the savings, the kids etc But what is responsibility was about having the ability to listen to and trust yourself… to be response-able. What if a responsible person was someone who was able to respond to their inner knowing, intuition and desires, someone who not only cared for their physical body, but emotional body too. There is far too much neglect of the inner self in modern day society, we cleanse and shower our bodies everyday, but what about our minds? How many people prioritise breath, meditation and presence at the same level they prioritise money, eating good food and working out? I think the answer is probably not enough people. Yes we should prioritise our health and caring for our bodies, however we should also prioritise our inner health. I invite you now to stop neglecting what’s going on within; to sit with your emotions and take the time to still your mind, to express your feelings and deal with the trauma trapped in your emotional body. Start thinking of these things as responsible, because they are. Caring for yourself (mind, body and soul) is one of the most responsible things you can do ❤️

We work.. we all have to work at something... we need to earn money to trade for items we need to survive... We have to pay out so much more than we did generations before us... Nothing seems to be free... There are so many weird narratives around what work should be and even more around how be go about our work.. "The grind" is really just a cool word for over worked... "side hussel" is just a sign post to say that you don't get paid enough at your other job.... When I work with people and businesses I start by asking what makes the individual happy, why do they go to work? What does success look like? I generally hear the same things... Conforming to narratives of slavery and missing out on x,y And z, missing family and working insane hours... And yes.. once upon a time I was that person. But I flipped the script. I pretty much do everything that business models tell you not to do.... and I'm very happy in my 'work' and im successful because I stick to my intentions when it comes to work... I want to be outside as much as possible. I want flexible hours. I want to be able to help others I want to share my skills. I want to build/create I want to do things that light me up I want to connect with the earth I want to be active and have varied activities through out my day. I want to meet lots of different people. I make good money. My businesses are expanding, and I work long hours because I'm happy. It's not work.. it's play. And my clients/customers and collaborations feel this energy and that's why they return. They buy the happy. Business doesn't have to be this grey, linear one size fits all idea. Business has so much potential for PLEASURE, If only we could see that it's an exchange of energy... “You are not responsible for anyone’s distorted perception of you.”👏🏼 I posted this on Facebook and some people missed the message in my opinion. So let me explain with these pictures. When we first shared these pictures and videos of our gender reveal in July, people said things like “imagine your kid seeing this and knowing he wasn’t wanted” or “imagine your son feeling unwanted and not good enough since you wanted a girl”. Now these are examples of distorted perceptions. Our son is so wanted. So much so that we spent hours of time at doctors, years of trying and pushing past pain and heart break and don’t even get me started on the money spent to have him. If we didn’t want a boy we would’ve told the doctors to not use that embryo. We didn’t. We wore pink cause it was 3:1 odds of being a girl. We also made sure to both have blue in our outfits. We have experienced distorted perceptions a LOT on our journey we’ve shared with infertility, miscarriage and IVF. Not just from social media but in real life. We set boundaries to put us and growing our family first in life. Boundaries people viewed as selfish but really it was us putting our dream of having a baby first. We learned along this journey that it was not our burden to bare. People are going to think what they want. We know our hearts and our intentions. It’s not our job to fix what you think of us. My point in all this is to put yourself first. Do what feels good for you and your goal and your dream. You know your heart and your intentions. You know what you stand for and what your values are. The ones who are meant to be in your life will ask questions if they have them and seek to understand and learn why you’re doing it or they will support you and understand right away.
