I want to take a moment and share with everyone how very proud we are of my niece Karabelle. Some call her Belle, some call her Kara. They moved from Florida to middle Georgia in October and with that move she began a new school. I can remember being her age & the adjustment to moving schools and it’s never easy, however this sweet angel has not only got to work & keeps her grades up, she has been named Soaring Eagle already, and then was presented with this high honor of representing her school as Superintendent Student of the Year for her Elementary School. She maintains A’s and more than once we had heard from teachers & the school Principal that she is an all around great student. She loves to read, and is smart, however more important than that she has a huge heart and is a has a loving, kind & beautiful heart. She is not only respectful to her elders, she is also respectful with her peers, and that in itself is a beautiful thing. The Principal read some words about Karabelle at the awards last night & I have it posted here in Karabelle’s voice as she reads to me, what the Principal said! Pusė metų besąlygiškos meilės mūsų šeimoje išaugino puikų jaunuolį putliais skruostais. 😍 Dienos su kūdikiu eina lėtai, bet metai (pusmečiai) lekia greitai. Tikrai. Jau dabar norisi spaust ant stabdžio... Nors ir šie šeši mėnesiai nebuvo iš lengvųjų (o kam tie pirmieji susilaukus naujagimio būna tokie?..). Trečdalį šio laiko su mažyliu pragyvenom ant sofos su sulaužyta mano koja ir ramentais. Visiškam užsidaryme, su mažai gryno oro, be taip man reikalingo "galvos pravėdinimo" kur nors išlindus iš namų, su daug savigraužos ir įtampos šeimoje, kaltės jausmo, neįgalumo pakankamai duoti vyresnėliui... Tačiau su daug daug apsikabinimų, glaustymųsi ir tiesiog kokybišku buvimu tik su kūdikiu ir dėl kūdikio. (Kad ir šiek tiek priverstinai atidėjus visa kita į šalį, tarytum būčiau pirmąkart mama, kurios pečių nespaudžia tas bukas įsitikinimas, kad niekas kitas negali kažko padaryti, ką įprastai trijų asmenų šeimoje darydavau aš.) Galiausiai atėjo supratimas, kad prasmingiausia, ką gali duoti motina savo vaikui pirmaisiais jo gyvenimo mėnesiais - nepertraukiamas buvimas su juo. Atsistojus ant kojų įsitikini, kad gyvenimo išbandymai skirti dar labiau mus sustiprinti, sulipdyti, įvertinti komandinį šeimos darbą ir mėgautis tomis trumpomis akimirkomis, kai jau gali lengviau atsipūsti. Nes hipotetiškai su mažyliu ant rankų jau galėtum pavyti dičkį, bėgantį iš kiemo (dar neteko, bet su sulaužyta koja neįmanoma buvo nei kūdikio nešioti, nei didžiojo gaudyti, tad pats galimybių išsiplėtimas sunkiai telpa galvoje). Pagaliau supranti, kad esi netobulas, bet neįtikėtinai įgalus padaryti beveik viską! Ir kad sunkiais momentais svarbiausia yra turėti, į ką atsiremti ir kuo pilnai remtis (bučkis mano vyrui). Štai apie ką tie mano pirmieji šeši mėnesiai buvimo Mama². Na, ir, be abejo, apie šį žavų jaunuolį 🩵🩵🩵 Mamiškoj praplautoj atminty (ir telefono galerijoje) išlieka tik tie ramiausi, šilčiausi, maloniausi momentai. Kuriais galėtum mėgautis amžinai. Bet į jų vietą nenumaldomai jau veržiasi ridinėjimosi po kambarius menas, krizenimai kutuliojantis ir nuogų pėdučių glostymai žole... #6monthsold #babyboy #halfyear #proudmom #proudfamily
