Pero el máximo interés de esta representación, fue confirmar la procedencia celtibérica del conjunto de cascos hispano calcídicos extraídos de forma ilegal del yacimiento de Aranda de Moncayo, Aratis, un área fronteriza entre territorios ibéricos y celtibéricos y que señala un lugar de culto donde se realizarían ritos de paso. Fire is a natural but also a cultural phenomenon, it is a powerful driver of material and spiritual culture. The dichotomy of fire is reflected in the fact that it represents a divine creation but also a demonic tool. There are many rites associated with fire, which provide it with apotropaic and lustrative power. Fire is revered as sacred, perceived as a strange and powerful being. Different powers of fire follow different beliefs and customs. The purpose of customs is to establish harmony between the human community and its environment. Ritual fires are believed to have the power to bring fertility and prosperity to people, livestock and crops. Rituals with fire follow the natural course of time, which coincides with the movement of the Sun (winter and summer solstice), as well as transitions from scarcity to abundance (winter, carnival, spring fires). Customs related to calendar holidays, dedicated to prominent figures from the Christian cult, contain numerous elements from pre-Christian times. The pre-Christian origin of the ritual with fire is proven by the example of numerous ritual activities, which are simultaneously aimed at propitiating and destroying beings from nature, spirits and souls active at a certain time of the year. In the religious sense, the flame of fire is a symbol of purification and enlightenment. Lighting cultic fires on Poklade (Shrove) beside Slavic peoples is known to many peoples of Europe: France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc.; they aim to protect against evil forces. In Serbia these fires have different names: alalije, lile, oratnice, ljevke, ljarge, and are accompanied by many songs and dances. These fires are jumped over, in order to protect people from the demonic forces. De cuando Zaragoza no era Zaragoza... Posiblemente, los Ilergetes (situados por los Monegros) eran los dominadores del Valle Medio del Ebro y tomaron partido por los Cartagineses en la II Guerra Púnica, mientras que los Sedetanos y otros, se decantaban por los romanos. A finales del S.III a.C. los beligerantes Ilergetes, con sus famosos jefes Indíbil y Mandonio, atacaron a los Sedetanos, provocando la respuesta de las legiones romanas que los derrotaron y mataron a sus jefes. Pero tras esto, los Sedetanos se dieron cuenta de que las intenciones de Roma eran conquistar y explotar sus tierras y no solo tomarlas de base para atacar a los cartagineses de Aníbal, así que rompieron su alianza con ellos. Los constantes levantamientos de las tribus íberas, obligaron al Senado de Roma a enviar a uno de sus dos Cónsules (máxima autoridad) y este fue Marco Porcio Catón. En el 195 a.C., el Valle del Ebro estaba en armas, Catón venció y se marchó de nuevo a saborear en Roma su triunfo, pero aquí no había paz y los levantamientos se extendieron al ámbito celtibérico. La situación se serenó con la llegada del Pretor Sempronio Graco. Derrotó a los Celtíberos al pie del Moncayo, pero firmó la paz con ellos y lo más importante, estaba dispuesto a mantenerla y fue muy respetado como valedor de los pactos. Sin embargo, esto fue una excepción y se impuso la voluntad imperialista del Senado, desplazando el escenario de conquista hacia el oeste, hasta que chocaron con la mítica Numancia. A finales del S.I a.C. llegó al Valle del Ebro otro temible enemigo, los Cimbrios, que derrotaban a cuanto bárbaro o romano se pusiera en su camino. Un poquito de historia???? De cuando Zaragoza no era Zaragoza.... No se sabe a ciencia cierta cuando empezó la historia de mi ciudad, no se sabe ni cuando empezó a ser ciudad. Los arqueólogos han llegado a vislumbrar en sus niveles más profundos, unos fondos de cabañas que formaron parte de un primer poblado permanente construido al abrigo del rincón que forma la confluencia del Huerva con el Ebro, hace más o menos 2600 años. Cuando llegaron los romanos a lo que llamaron Hispania, descubrieron un Valle del Ebro poblado por una serie de tribus formadas por la fusión de distintos grupos humanos que se habían establecido aquí a lo largo de miles de años. Los celtas, por el norte, fueron los últimos en llegar, por el este, los fenicios y griegos, sin intención de ocupación territorial, sino más bien de presencia comercial a partir de sus enclaves costeros (de las gentes anteriores a esto....quien sabe?) De esta confluencia de aportes étnicos y culturales, surgió en el valle bajo y medio del Ebro y en la zona oriental de la península en general, la sociedad que vinimos a llamar Ibérica, diferenciándose de las que no tuvieron contacto con la cultura mediterránea, que serían la céltica o la celtibérica, dependiendo de su grado de proximidad a los pueblos ibéricos. Una de estas tribus ocupaba el territorio en torno al curso medio del Ebro, más o menos desde la desembocadura del Jalón hasta el río Martín. Eran los Sedetanos. LAS ENDEMONIADAS DEL VALLE DE TENA En el universo legendario aragonés, encontramos todo tipo de seres sobrenaturales en relación a las fuerzas mágicas que mueven la naturaleza, escondidos en las sombras de lo no aceptado y lo condenable. Entre ellos, las brujas y los brujos, surgidos del choque entre la observancia de lo debido en la rígida sociedad religiosa y el temor a lo desconocido. ✨ El árbol de Sobrarbe ✨ Nos encontramos ante una veneración al árbol que, se refleja en este caso, en el ejercicio de la asamblea vecinal bajo un árbol emblemático e incluso, en el propio nombre de la comarca, Sobrarbe, que podría significar sobre o bajo el árbol, pues bajo él se celebraban dichas reuniones, siendo venerado como testigo de todo lo hablado, constituyendo un acto que iba más allá de lo político, entrando dentro de lo sagrado o trascendente, a través de una tradición, transmitida sin duda, de los tiempos prerromanos. El árbol representado en este escudo es una encina, que junto al roble y el tejo, es de los más venerados y cuyo culto abunda por toda la península. Los mitos del origen de Aragón son políticos (algo excepcional) explicando su origen en términos de acuerdos entre los aragoneses para crear sus propias instituciones. El más importante de estos mitos es el del reino de Sobrarbe. Tras la conquista musulmana, los cristianos refugiados en torno al que sería el monasterio de San Juan de la Peña, decidieron elegir como rey a García Jiménez y al mismo tiempo, eligieron al primer Justicia de Aragón y proclamaron los primeros fueros de Sobrarbe, estas dos medidas, encaminadas a limitar el poder real, tal es así que el juramento utilizado para proclamar al rey fue "Nos, que valemos tanto como Vos, os hacemos rey y señor con tal que nos guardéis nuestros fueros y libertades y si no, no", porque en Aragón hay un dicho "antes fueron leyes que reyes" (mucho orgullo y conflicto nos trajo). García Jiménez en la batalla por Aínsa, en clara desventaja, tuvo una visión, una cruz roja sobre una encina, visión que dió valor a las tropas y nombre al reino de Sobrarbe "sobre el árbol" y cuyo escudo constituye el primer cuartel del de Aragón, el más importante. Parto, con la convicción de que mi misión ha terminado. Desde un claro del bosque, observo que el Sol ha alcanzado su punto más alto y sin embargo, su brillo no es el que debería.... observando con detenimiento las copas de los árboles, las veo, negras criaturas que aún insisten en desafiar al Sol, babeando oscuridad, como si supieran que, en algun momento, no tendrán que temerle más. Triste me pregunto si algún día volverán los días despreocupados en la Naturaleza que tanto añoro. Es un drama de desesperación que no acabará nunca? Y aunque el Sol no se rinde y me ofrece una pequeña esperanza su tesón, sé que, en la batalla de los más poderosos, cualquiera puede caer. Puedo escuchar los gritos de furia de la Estrella, luchando por no ceder ante la Oscuridad aún en su hora más brillante. Cuanto podrá mantener su dominio? La fría Oscuridad es implacable y con nuevos ataques, sacrificando a sus criaturas, se burla de la agonía de la estrella y las lágrimas recorren mis mejillas. Parece que nunca habrá descanso en esta lucha. Pero hace presencia el renacido Dios del Bosque, acude en auxilio del Sol. Extiende sus brazos hacia él, como si quisiera proteger así a la estrella y ésta le responde bañando el bosque en una mágica y sobrenatural luz. Juntos entonan una canción de amor eterno por la Naturaleza y de repente, chispas de plateada luz surgen de la boca del Dios hacia el cielo, liberadas, se unen en un baile de luz del que acaba surgiendo la Luna. Por primera vez, Sol, Luna y Dios, unidos en un mismo tiempo y lugar, consiguen una explosión de poderosa y sobrecogedora energía que envía a las Sombras al abismo más profundo de la Oscuridad, en un último esfuerzo por vencer definitivamente esta guerra eterna y liberar de la oscuridad un lugar sagrado. El Dios se gira hacia mí y se acerca. Su cálida mirada conecta con la mía y me hace ver...en mi mente se proyectan nítidas imágenes que me hablan del principio, del inicio de todo, de los antiguos, del verdadero y armónico poder de los dioses del pasado. Dioses que solo están esperando a que les demos la oportunidad de volver. Y esa es mi misión.

La justicia inquisitorial será la mano del poder real y ejercerá un control político y social, más dedicada a la herejía protestante y la cultura morisca que a la brujería. La vigilancia estrictamente religiosa, era el objeto de la justicia episcopal, que debía fijar el límite entre lo sagrado y lo profano. La justicia seglar, debía mantener el orden público y en una época de violencia, reyertas entre bandos, catástrofes naturales y miseria como lo era el entre siglo XVI-XVII, los juicios y condenas a las mujeres acusadas de brujería, fueron una buena forma de desviar la atención de todos los conflictos sociales. Los jueces seglares, llevaron a cabo la represión más cruel, siendo los responsables de un buen número de las condenas a la pena capital, mientras que los obispos representaban el papel más justo de la persecución. Sin embargo, esto es engañoso, ya que debemos tener en cuenta la complementariedad y complicidad existente entre los tres organismos judiciales, lo que explica que los jueces seglares usaran las ideas de los teólogos acerca del demonio y la inexistencia de control eclesiástico a los excesos cometidos por ellos. Pero a la sociedad también le interesó está situación, ya que si no, nunca hubiera podido alcanzar tanto éxito una persecución por las justicias que necesitaba de la colaboración popular a través de denuncias de unos a otros. Se convirtió en un instrumento de venganza personal y forma de desahogar las tensiones de la convivencia. Con todo esto, podemos deducir que el verdadero protagonista de todos los procesos, era el conflicto, en cualquiera de sus formas: riñas vecinales, problemas de conciencia y sobretodo, culpabilidad proyectada en terceros. Las condiciones de pobreza, miseria e insalubridad de la población, tampoco ayudaban y el recurso a lo imaginario, profesionales de la magia, al Más Allá lleno de placeres, al auxilio de los espíritus, la desaparición de criaturas no deseadas "por mano de bruja" relatos casi oníricos, en los que se narra la lucha de los testigos con las acusadas... explica el alcance que llegaron a alcanzar las tensiones entre los miembros de una misma comunidad.
La influencia y el poder atribuidos a las brujas, se reflejaba en la doctrina de la fascinación, conocida comúnmente como el mal de ojo o "aojamiento". La creencia en la capacidad de "aojar", se basaba en la suposición de que las malas intenciones, que inevitablemente salían al exterior a través de la mirada, bastaban para provocar todo tipo de desgracias. Brujas eran quienes tenían "ponzoña en los ojos" y por tanto, no necesitaban valerse de ningún tipo de veneno o instrumento material para lograr sus perversos fines. Metáfora por excelencia de la brujería, la mirada ponzoñosa representaba la malevolencia de quienes eran capaces de cometer los más ominosos crímenes sin esfuerzo y lo que resultó aún más peligroso de cara al enjuiciamiento de las acusadas, sin dejar ningún resto o prueba material de carácter objetivo. Cómo es la brujería?? La brujería posee un CARÁCTER EXTÁTICO, recoge vestigios de la chamanidad europea y una de sus principales herramientas son los estados alterados de consciencia, obtenidos mediante el sueño, el uso de anteógenos o la exposición del practicante a situaciones inquietantes en la noche, en cementerios, caminos, encrucijadas, pruebas iniciáticas....el trance lleva a un vuelo del espíritu fuera del cuerpo o a la disolución de los límites entre la realidad tangible, al espacio de la liminalidad. La brujería es TRANSGRESORA, no está supeditada a los principios sociales sino a los de de la Otredad, que a menudo, traspasan los límites de lo prohibido, la herejía, magia maléfica, uso de sangre, de venenos... mediante ella, salta el cerco hacia el Otro lado. Tiene carácter TERRITORIAL, los aliados vegetales, animales o minerales, los espíritus del territorio o los lugares en los que contactar con ellos, son locales. LAS FILADERAS En Aragón, son la figura de las hilanderas y como en otros lugares, en el Pirineo se asocian al mito de la generación de la vida y el destino. Parece que las tres Moiras, hijas de Zeus y Thenis y que se representan como hilanderas y las Parcas romanas, serían el origen del concepto de hada, o al menos, de su nombre fata de "fatae", hada de "los hados", el destino está en sus manos. Es un hilo que se enrolla alrededor de cada persona, Cloto sujeta el carrete y su extensión es inamoviblemente, la que Láquesis haya medido y trenzado, Átropos es quien corta el hilo. Ninguna ofrenda ni sacrificio, provenga de quien provenga, ni siquiera las súplicas de los propios dioses podrán disuadirlas de su decisión. Tanto el concepto de hilandera como el número tres, son una antiquísima simbología que en el legendario aragonés también tiene su importancia, así la tríada de Las Tres Serols (de las que pronto hablaré) y Las Tres Buenas Fadas (de las que ya os hablé). ✨ FLOR DE NIEU ✨ En los Pirineos hay muchos reyes: el Aneto, el Posets, el quebrantahuesos.... pero también hay reinas..... Un día, en el firmamento, una estrella le confesó a la Luna que sentía envidia de quienes vivían en la Tierra. El planeta se veía tan verde y azul desde allí arriba....La estrella imaginaba lo bonito que sería convertirse en flor y vivir rodeada de hermosos valles, bosques, ríos y montañas. La Luna, orgullosa, no se lo tomó bien. Enfadada y despechada, decidió acceder y la envió a una de nuestras montañas más altas. Allí, cubierta por un manto de blanca nieve, la estrella se convirtió en una de las flores más hermosas nunca vistas, en forma de estrella y pétalos de color de Luna. Sin embargo, la Luna se había cobrado su despecho y la nueva flor pronto se dió cuenta. Estaba sola, rodeada de roca y hielo en lo alto de las montañas y alejada del resto de seres de la Tierra. Cuenta la leyenda, que esa hermosa y solitaria flor es la flor de nieve (nieu) o Edelweiss, una de las joyas naturales más valiosas del Pirineo y que podemos encontrar en las cotas más altas, al menos a 1.000 metros, en lugares como el Monte Perdido, Valle de Pineta o Cañón de Añisclo. Su floración tiene lugar entre julio y septiembre. Muy buscada en ese momento, pero se encuentra en peligro de extinción y está absolutamente prohibida su recolección silvestre o causarle cualquier tipo de daño. Tale timido cenno al chiarore, per i nostri antenati, segnava il più difficile periodo dell’anno da affrontare. Infatti, essi dovevano fare i conti con lo scarseggiare delle riserve alimentari e potete pertanto immaginare, come, i segni del risveglio della Natura, fossero accolti con grande e gioiosa attesa. Da questo speranzoso sentimento si moltiplicarono riti e feste per propiziare le messi e il trionfo solare, che oggigiorno celebriamo sotto un altro aspetto, come nel caso del falò di Novoli (cittadina appartenente al corollario della provincia leccese) dedicato al santo cristiano, l’egiziano Antonio abate. Difatti, con l’avvento del Cristianesimo, numerosi rituali e iconografie si miscelarono e vennero assorbiti, resistendo, ancora oggi, all’instancabile danza del tempo e delle genti. Ricordiamo, ad esempio, i Celti che l’1 febbraio celebravano Imbolc (detta anche Oimelc o Imbolg), una delle quattro festività consacrate al fuoco, ove l’accensione rituale di fuochi e falò ne costituivano una caratteristica essenziale. Infatti, le fonti (come il De bello gallico di Cesare e studi archeologici come quelli condotti da Sabatino Moscati) ci tramandano, come le donne dei villaggi, erano solite radunarsi in questa occasione e celebrare insieme Brigid, dea patrona dei fabbri, dei poeti e dei guaritori (cristianizzata poi con la figura di Santa Brigida o Bride, alla quale le fu consacrato il monastero irlandese di Kildare, dove un fuoco in suo onore era mantenuto perpetuamente acceso da monache). Cosa potrebbe ulteriormente ricordare tale celebrazione della luce? Certamente la festa cristiana del 2 febbraio, la Candelora, ove vige l’usanza di benedire le candele bianche (colore che ritroviamo anche nella ritualità celtica in onore di Brigit, alla quale era consacrato il bucaneve, primo fiore dell’anno a sbocciare, il cui colore bianco ricorda la purezza della giovane Dea) e ancora una volta, celebrare la luminosità divina.
