Reposted from @nidatastic ... UPCYCLED ACTION PLAN BOARD FOR 10 BLESSED DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH While learning about these 10 blessed days, we learned what should we do to get more and more rewards. I made an action plan board using an empty cereal box, coloured markers, black marker, scissors, glue, and clear tape. Using tape over the circles makes it easier for kids (and adults too) to write or put a tick mark, then wipe and use the board again. The top circle is to mention the day of Dhul Hijjah, and once we are done with one ibadah, we can put a tick mark in front of the circles. May we reach these first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah and make most of these. Some more pages from the latest book I illustrated, “Mummy Loves You Even When…” written by @sheikhbeauty ✨ Each double page spread is dedicated to an emotion, and these pages are for “nervous.” For the illustration we decided on a child entering school for his first day and feeling nervous as he holds on to his mother. I wanted to discuss a little about why and how we planned this illustration 🍁 Since the school term usually starts back in Autumn, I set the scene by having lots of Autumn trees in the background and the characters wearing warm clothing. The child has a nervous expression while the mother appears calm and collected, reassuring her child 💛 I also intentionally included a child running towards school in the background. This shows the child that not everyone feels the same way about a situation and emotions are a very personal thing. However, after Ramadan, we generally go back to our old routines, with religion sometimes getting a low priority over ‘life’ 😟 . But the question is… Is it Ramadan that is over, or is our ‘faith’ that is seasonal? 🍃 . Do not forget that: 🧩 Salah is ‘still’ compulsory after Ramadan 🧩 Reading Qur’an is ‘still’ important 🧩 Wearing Hijab is ‘still’ compulsory 🧩 Giving charity is ‘still’ important 🧩 Avoiding sins is ‘still’ necessary and so on . . . . . So we must realize this reality & try to inculcate the following things in our lives: ✅ Offering the Obligatory Salah on time ✅ Reading Quran (even 1 page) ✅ Modest dressing ✅ Regular charity ✅ Keeping voluntary ‘Sunnah’ Fasts (on 13,14,15 and Monday & Thursday of every month) ✅ Dhikr (Azhkar) of Morning, Evening & Salah ✅ Offering Voluntary Salah (especially Duha & Tahajjud) . May Allah forgive us & guide us to the straight path . A Cat Like Me! written by @emmalhalim It is a fun book that introduces little ones to what the Hajj is and how it is performed by muslims of all over the world in Saudi 🇸🇦. We decided to make a mini Kaaba out of an old tissue box, and it allowed my toddler to play and visualize the concepts of the book better. Want to earn a reward of Fasting for 365 days? 🌈 . We waited anxiously for Ramadan the whole year, and we just witnessed how it passed in the blink of an eye 😟 . Now as Ramadan is over, we may think that ‘we should have done more’ or ‘what should I do now?’ 😢 . We can still do a lot 🕌 . Our Prophet (saw) gave us a Super Easy way (hack) to earn a LARGE amount of reward, by doing a (relatively) easy thing 🌟 He said, “Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six [days] from Shawwal, it’s as if they have fasted a year” [Sahih Muslim] . Scholars explain that this is because Allah promises us 10 times the reward for every deed that we do. So fasting one month of Ramadan is equivalent to 10 months of fasting, while fasting 6 days of Shawwal is equivalent to 60 days (i.e., 2 months), totalling, an entire year of fasting 😲 . One of the most important benefit of these fasts (besides high reward) is that it lets us keep our Ramadan momentum, so we can keep on doing good deeds the rest of the year ☝🏻 So we must NOT miss this opportunity, which is available ONLY during the month of Shawwaal 🙏🏻 . A few important things to keep in mind regarding the fasts of Shawwaal are (based on the opinion of the majority of scholars): ✅ It is NOT COMPULSORY to keep them ‘consecutively’ ✅ It is COMPULSORY to first keep the ‘Missed’ fasts of Ramadan (if any) & then keep these 6 Fasts of Shawwaal (you can study this further) . Ramadan is over... So what now? 🌙 . One of the best months of the year is over 😢 . We all tried our best to make the best out of it 🥲 . However, after Ramadan, we generally go back to our old routines, with religion sometimes getting a low priority over ‘life’ 😟 . But the question is… Is it Ramadan that is over, or is our ‘faith’ that is seasonal? 🍃 . Do not forget that: 🧩 Salah is ‘still’ compulsory after Ramadan 🧩 Reading Qur’an is ‘still’ important 🧩 Wearing Hijab is ‘still’ compulsory 🧩 Giving charity is ‘still’ important 🧩 Avoiding sins is ‘still’ necessary and so on . . . . . So we must realize this reality & try to inculcate the following things in our lives: ✅ Offering the Obligatory Salah on time ✅ Reading Quran (even 1 page) ✅ Modest dressing ✅ Regular charity ✅ Keeping voluntary ‘Sunnah’ Fasts (on 13,14,15 and Monday & Thursday of every month) ✅ Dhikr (Azhkar) of Morning, Evening & Salah ✅ Offering Voluntary Salah (especially Duha & Tahajjud) . Saya juga nggak tahu kenapa nama yang terlintas untuk buku ini adalah Lovely Jannah Series. Mungkin karena saat awal melihat buku ini, saya suka sama ilustrasi buku ini yang lucuk, berwarna dengan style yang berbeda. (Sebelum membaca, admin mau infokan dulu kalau ini adalah cerita penulis ketika launching buku Tiket Masuk Jannah di tahun 2022) __________________________________________ LATAR BELAKANG PEMBUATAN NASKAH BUKU TIKET MASUK JANNAH 😍💜 Jadi tiga tahun lalu itu, Emil dan Awim lagi rajin banget berantem. Yang satu baru toddler, yang satu sudah schooler, sering banget berebut mainan karena lagi belajar manaje konflik. Sampai Emil menanyakan tentang "Mi, apa itu pahala" dari semenjak situ kami kenalkan tentang konsep kebaikan sebagai ladang pahala. Anak-anak masih suka berantem, mereka masih suka berdebat siapa yang harus minta maaf duluan, mereka juga masih suka berdebat siapa yang perlu bereskan mainan dsb. Tapi di sela perdebatannya kali ini, mereka terbiasa ngomong : "Jadi nggak mau ladang pahala nih? " "Awim aja yang bantu eshan mandi, biar dapet pahala." "Kakak aja yang nyapu deh sini, biar pahalanya buat kakak." "Yaudah deh kakak minta maaf duluan, semoga Allah kasih pahala." Semoga buku *Tiket Masuk Jannah* ini bisa jadi wasilah, anak-anak yang membacanya mencintai kebaikan, dan berlomba-lomba berbuat baik, karena telah memahami sedari kecil, bahwa salah satu bentuk kasih sayang Allah, adalah memberikan ganjaran berupa pahala dari setiap amal baik yang kita lakukan. Dan semoga dengan menyebarkan buku *Tiket Masuk Jannah* ini juga menjadi ladang pahala untuk Rangers, Army dan juga orangtua yang membelikannya untuk anak-anaknya. What Prophet Musa A.S asked from Allah, when he had lost everything? . This is the Dua'a of Musa Alayhi Salaam, when he absolutely had nothing 😔 . He was in a very desperate and impoverished situation. He was in the middle of nowhere in the desert, escaping from Firaun 👟 . He was hungry, sleep deprived, homeless, and very vulnerable. Yet He didnt ask for any comfort directly. He made this prayer, and asked Allah, for anything good that Allah sends him down 🎯 . He asked only Allah, and acknowledged that he is helpless and in extreme need of Allah's help. This sincere supplication was accepted by Allah, and Allah blessed him not only with provision but also a job and a wife 🎖️🏆 . This is a powerful & accepted supplication. Many a times, we don't know what we need at a particular phase in life, and we don't understand what we should ask Allah for 🤔⁉️ . This prayer is a beautiful answer to that confusion ✅ .
