子供の頃テレビの前で母が嗚咽していた。画面では長髪の沢田研二が車で疾走して自分の手首を食いちぎり、大量の血が噴き上げる。切り替わり、古い洋館。寝台に横たわる黒髪の女性がアイマスクをする。これがラストで彼女は服毒死するのだ。ずっと忘れられず沢田研二が長髪の頃のドラマをいろいろ見たけどなかった。だいぶ経って『ときめきに死す 』だとわかったけど、手首を噛みちぎるジュリーは長髪じゃなかったし疾走感もなかった、アイマスクで毒死する黒髪女性はどこにも見当たらなかった。 公衆トイレで見知らぬ男に、アイロンで腹部を刺され絶命する松田優作もすごい心に残っている。重鋼な金属のアイロンが腹部を直撃、微妙な鋭さの先端が皮膚を破り、骨を砕き、内臓を押しつぶすのは夢だったのかな。 おととい観た映画は、80年頃の治安の悪いニューヨークが舞台で、口のきけない娘（主人公）が1日に2度も性的暴行を受ける。しかし2度目の襲撃の際、彼女はアイロンで敵にトドメをさし、切り刻んだ死体を街に捨てながら連続殺人をしていく。彼女はアパレル会社に勤めているので服を見るのも楽しかったし、ウォリアーズのような不良も出てきた（彼女が皆殺し）。面白かった。小さなピストルじゃなくアイロンをずっと使っていたら、もっと好きになったかも。 #天使の復讐 #Ms45

Der Fan (1982). Written & Directed by Eckhart Schmidt. "I know you understand me better than anyone. And I understand you..." One of the great 'coming of age' films of the 80's, the first third is a perfect, realistic depiction of the completely unrealistic fantasy world you can find yourself living in as a teenager (at least, I did) & features possibly the best voice-over narration beyond 'Badlands'. Unfortunately such romantic idealism is easily shattered by contact with grim reality & 'Der Fan' eventually descends into a nightmare of betrayal & dismemberment. Situated somewhere between 'Christiane F' & 'Ms.45', on the surface this is a cautionary tale about obsession & idolisation as disgruntled German teen Simone skips school to stalk her favourite pop star, the enigmatic 'R' (a sort of Gary Numan meets Falco figure). Yet, aside from the gory finale, what really makes this film powerful is the ahead of its time attitude towards the unequal power dynamics between powerful celebrities & their young fans. Long before 'Operation Yewtree' this makes no bones about how male celebrities exploit & abuse their power, turning the final 20 minutes into a 'Me Too' revenge fantasy. There are also hints that futurism in Germany is struggling to shed the history of fascism & most importantly some cool outfits on show (just before 80's fashion began to go bad around '84/'85).
