I couldn’t shield her from this experience since it was out of control. I mean no child should ever have to endure such deep pain. You wouldn’t know it though, when you meet her. The internal work, the teaching of how to express herself and her emotions- especially the unwanted emotions in a healthy way , the million talks and questions I didn’t shy away from, the midnight crying spells, the laughter, the healing journey of her little heart and mind…. The SHOWING UP for her and her big brother daily… YES- that is what created PEACE for my kids. This girl is full of Spark, Joy and Sunshine.
